COC are good. And, surprisingly enough, it's their newer work that's best, because the older stuff sounds like second-rate wannabe Metallica (though there are quite a few examples of the more groove-oriented style they do now, especially "Vote With a Bullet" off BLiND).

I got frisked about 10 times at Deathfest this past weekend.

Fine, until some venue savages and the promoter got into it over some money thus cancelling the show with five bands still to play, Gorgasm and Origin among them. I pissed on the floor in protest and left before the cops showed up to haul everyone off.

I wouldn't call Deliverance second-rate Metallica. That whole album has a definite groove, and it's DIRTY AS FUCK, which is more than can be said about any Metallica album.

What the fuck? Did you even get a refund?

Are you kidding? This is death metal. Pissing on the floor in front of god and everybody was payback enough. A couple other guys started tearing shit up. I didn't stick around.

Also, Corrosion of Conformity is better than Metallica, but they're still not especially good or anything.

Are there any original members of the band still left, or are they like LA Guns (or was it Ratt?) where all of the founding members left the band?

Woody Weatherman has always been with the band, and Mike Dean has been on all but one album

You were right about LA Guns having all the founding members leaving the band. Ratt still has their founding guitarist and drummer.

I think, but dont know, that Stephen Pearcy tours with a 'Ratt' of his own.

Maybe he followed Dennis DeYoung's example and called his tour "Stephen Pearcy presents 'The Music of Ratt'"

I think Billy Powell is the only original member left. Leon Wilkeson, I think, still plays with them, but he's not the original bassist. Some fat guy named Ed (can't remember his last name), who looks like my high school friend Kyle was.
