Raw trade finals

Recommended Posts

Guest Teckneek

Here is how the end of the draft is gonna turn out in my opinion. Raw will get Big Show and Rey Mysterio tomorrow. Christian will win the WWE Championship from Cena tomorrow on Raw and both Batista and Christian will get drafted to Smackdown! Christian will show up on SD! with the spinner belt. Eddie will replace Big Show in Smackdown championship 6 way(wich will end up being number one contenders match for wwe belt). Batista gets traded back with the World belt back to Raw for Cena(and possibly Jericho too).

What the hell?

That's convoluted booking at its worst . . . best bet is that Batista gets drafted to Smackdown with the title, and it becomes a "six-pack challenge" for the title. End of story.

Has WWE even addressed how they are handling the actual trades between the two brands? I know there will be two picks tonight for Raw roster, but when will be announce what/if will be any trades? Hopefully they announce if any trades have been made tonight instead of waiting for Smackdown to do so.

For what its worth, I think Rene Dupree may be picked tonight to go to Raw or they may do something where Dupree comes to Raw and Rob Conway goes to Smackdown and then is pushed as a single.

Another possibility is Heidenreich to Raw, which he could then feud with Shitsky as the worst feud ever and/or team up with him as the worst tag team ever. It could easily go the other way around with Shitsky going to Smackdown too.

Thought has crossed my mind that MNM could be drafted to Raw tonight too, which would probably force a hand to merge the tag titles together. Not a bad idea by any means. Keep the tag titles on Raw, along with the Womens title. Smackdown could have the CW title and perhaps a returning hardcore title to play into the ECW resurgence.

Ideally I'd like Big Show and JBL to go to Raw tonight but I think that would be watering Smackdown even more, plus add way too much doubt about the 6 way match on Smackdown.

I could see them pulling another HHH gets drafted, and then trading a world champion to get him back on Raw... Wasn't it Booker and The Dudleys for HHH last time?

Actually, I'd like to see Tajiri and The Hurricane both go to Smackdown. Then they can compete in the Cruiserweight Division.

Get Sylvan Grenier and René Dupree back together too. Let Conway fly solo. I don't care which show they stick the old La Résistance on.

Smackdown could use someone like Shawn Michaels or Chris Jericho I think.

Hussan has everyone in the 6 way on the ropes, good to go. Lights go out, Batista shows up.

Hussan claims he's been discriminated against and demands a shot against Batista on next week's Smackdown

To Raw: Big Show and Mysterio.

To Smackdown: Batista and Jericho.

I was hoping to see Tajiri go to Smackown durring this. They've broken him off from Regal and he's just completly lost in the shuffle right now.

Just like last year. Tajiri should be IC or US or tag champion but is always forgotten by the writers.

Something worth posting while reading this week's Observer.....

Apparently last week when Smackdown came back from Europe, they rushed the obvious talents to Raw that needed to be there - Angle, Cena and the debuting Carlito, but they also sent Big Show and Teddy Long as well for no good reason.

There was not any speculation from Meltzer himself, but it could be possible that those two are the draft picks tonight. Long leaving Smackdown could maybe put him in a position of co-GM with Bischoff on Raw (note that Bischoff was talking shit about Long last week IIRC) and that would leave perhaps Heyman to return to Smackdown or who knows what.

This is how I think the next 3 months for Smackdown SHOULD go. Don’t feel like doing Raw all too much.

Tonight, TBS and Mark Jindrak are drafted over to Raw. Jindrak is quickly brushed aside by Eric Bischoff. He goes around the back to introduce himself but not a single person even knows who he is and ignores him. Jindrak is dejected…

Eric Bischoff gets in the ring and cuts a “We have done it! We were a perfect streak for the draft, except that one guy earlier, but hey! You can’t be perfect but we came damn close but tonight just may be the “hugest” acquisition.

“Well!!! It’s the BIG SHOW!” plays, Crowd pops. TBS enters the ring in Suit. Eric puts TBS over as the biggest monster in all of professional wrestling today and the most dominant machine but TBS takes the microphone away from Bischoff.

“Eric, just shut up. You may be happy to have me here on Raw, I can certainly understand how a 7’4 500 pound monster would fit your marketing strategy but you may have forgotten what happened 2 years ago…Allow me to refresh your memory. 2 years ago in the fall of 2002, you traded me away to Smackdown for a Diva, Maven and Val Venis. You didn’t think I was worth anything because I was on a slump at the time but I think you realize now, I am nowhere near a slump and a sleeping giant was awoken and I own it to you Bischoff. But don’t think because I am back that I simply will follow your orders as you see fit. I want one thing and one thing only and that’s the top of the raw mountain and we all know, I’m bigger then a lot of mountains.” Does the POSE and shoves the mic back to Bischoff.

Shelton Benjamin fresh off a disappointing lost to CCC, opens a challenge to Shawn Michaels because he blames Shawn for his downward spiral because of their match 2 months ago. Shawn still relishing his win over Angle last night accepts. They wrestle another 12-15 minute gem with Shelton getting the pin off a top rope t-bone suplex.

On Smackdown,

JBL comes out at the start of the show and puts himself over and goes on about how he will win the Smackdown championship tonight and continue as Smackdown’s Champion like he always was…

The music plays and it’s the first Draft pick…the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, Batista. Crowd with a huge pop (he wasn’t on Raw due to injuries)

Batista immediately addresses their past and how Smackdown now has its CHAMPION. JBL and Batista Jaw off for another couple minutes until Jordan and Bashams run in and attack but Batista fights them off as JBL makes a hasty exit.

Teddy Long is met in the back with five of the challengers and he informs them “I’ll admit, I had a good feeling luck would fall our way and we would have our champion and now we do with Batista. However, that doesn’t mean tonight’s match is canceled…and that because TBS was drafted, that left an open spot for tonight’s final draft pick.

Eric Bischoff arrives later that night and meets with Teddy Long to discuss possible trades.

About 20 minutes later, we see them arguing

Eric: C’mon! You need to take him!

Teddy: Lemme tell you something Playa, if you want me to take him, I have to get something pretty good in return as well.

Eric: Whatever you want, as long as I get something as well.

Teddy: Sounds good to me playa and I already know who I want…

Eric: I’m not giving Cena or Angle back. I’ll go ahead and tell you that much

Teddy: That’s fine playa; John Cena will do just fine on your show and quite frankly, Im glad to have Angle out of here. But you were close; the man I want in return is a former world champion himself.

Eric…who?

Teddy: Chris Jericho!

Eric: What? NO! He’s one of my biggest stars! He’s ratings gold! The idiots out there love him.

Teddy: That’s precisely why I want him Eric.

Eric: I can’t allow that to happen.

Teddy: Okay, looks like you’re stuck with him then.

Eric…Okay! Fine. You want Jericho you got him! But you take that garbage with him and I want what I want in return

Teddy: and what is that playa?

Eric: I want to revive and strengthen my tag team division, so I want in return; Rene Dupree and Charlie Haas. And because we feature the top quality diva’s and best athletes in the world, I think it’s only appropriate that Smackdown’s aerobic trainer herself, Michelle McCool joins Raw.

Teddy: Hmm…you draw a good bargain but I want one more thing or you won’t get your way…

Eric: What’s that?

Teddy: Smackdown is the home of the best Cruiserweight wrestling in the world…I would like…Tajiri.

Eric: Tajiri? You want Tajiri? YOU CAN HAVE TAJIRI! He crossed my line and I’ve been looking to get rid of him anyways.

Teddy: Looks like we got a deal playa.

Eric: Yes we do. Tell your former talent that I’ll have a plane ticket to raw for them first thing in the morning...oh and by the way…One of your NEWEST acquisitions, is right outside the door.

Teddy: Say what?

Teddy walks to the door and sees Eugene standing there biting his thumb

Teddy: Oh boy. EUGENE! Welcome to Smackdown, Playa!

Eugene: Smackdown?! You mean I’m on Smackdown?! Is that true Uncle Eric?

Eric: Yes, Im sorry Eugene, I tried everything I could to keep you but I just couldn’t. I hope that you can find happiness…

Eugene: IM ON SMACKDOWN!!!!! YEAAAAH!!!! I LOVE SMACKDOWN!!!

Eric: Well ok…bye. Eugene.

Eugene: BYE UNCLE ERIC! I’m going to have so much fun with Uncle Teddy here!!!

Teddy: Uncle Teddy? I like the sound of that playa.

Eugene: Playa? I’m not a playa, Im a wrestler…

Teddy: You’re right. A wrestler.

Eric: Good luck.

Eugene and Teddy: Thanks!

JBL wins after pinning Booker T.

The next 3 weeks on Smackdown

JBL and Batista build up to their match at @ GAB by highlighting their interactions earlier in the year.

JBL: Batista was too much of a coward to come over to Smackdown on his own power to face me and that’s why he stayed on Raw. Hiding from me.

Batista: The Reason I stayed on Raw was because I had bigger fish to fry on Raw first.

The match is your traditional build.

Another matches booked toward GAB.

Chris Benoit still @ war against the Cabinet challenges Orlando Jordan for his US Title.

Chavo Guerrero, after being attacked by the Mexi-cools once again, pleads Paul London to forgive him and help him out @ GAB. London is hesitant but after another attack by the Mcs on Chavo. “Mr. Nice Guy” London agrees to accept the challenge and convinces Tajiri to join the fight although Tajiri makes it clear he doesn’t trust Chavo.

Chavo/London/Tajiri Vs Juvy/Crazy/Psicosis is set for GAB.

Muhammad Hassan, still upset by the discrimination he faces even with a Minority as a GM tries to sympathize reasoning with Booker T and asks him to join him in his crusade against un-fair discrimination but Booker finds him preposterous and thinks he should shut up and just wrestle. Hassan is offended and challenges for a match.

Chris Jericho, disgusted to be traded to Smackdown because of Eugene collides with fellow former raw superstar Shawn and they revive their dislike for each other when Jericho reminds him that he made him tap 2 years ago and Shawn reminds him that he pinned him @ WM. Jericho suggest they finally decide who’s the better man is once and for all. Shawn agrees.

Heidenreich immediately befriends Eugene and asks Eugene if he would be friends and his partner against MnM. Eugene and Heidenreich have a series of cute funny skits together and are signed to face MNM at GAB.

Undertaker returns and chases for JBL but JBL’s new bodyguard, Matt Morgan takes care of business…and that sets up Taker/Morgan for GAB

Paul London, Chavo Guerrero Jr and Nunzio Vs Super Crazy, Juventud Guerrea and Psicosis

WWE Tag Team Title Match

MNM Vs Eugene and Heidenreich

Booker T Vs Muhammad Hassan

Undertaker Vs Matt Morgan

GAB Results

1. The Six Man Cruiserweight Tag Team match ends after London hits a 450 Splash on Psicosis but damages his ribs in the process and Chavo makes the quickie cover over Psicosis to score the pinfall @ 9:22.

-Later that night, they are in the locker room and Tajiri with London walk up to Chavo who is on the phone and ask “what was with you stealing the pin? Old habits die hard?” “No, not at all. Look, I just wanted to get a win over those Mexicools no matter what and I saw Paul was hurting so I saw an opening and took it to ensure we won. And we did. That’s all I was doing and that’s all that matters. London says it’s cool. But Tajiri is still suspect.

2. Hassan beats Booker T @ 6:15 via interference from Davari.

3. Chris Jericho and HBK work good back and forth wrestling that leads to Jericho getting that clean decisive victory over Shawn via his own SCM @ 19:53.

4. Undertaker pins Matt Morgan with Tombstone @ 5:12

5. Three Stages of Hell Match

Stage One

Eddy and Rey work a slow paced pure style to steady themselves for the other falls. About 7 minutes into it, they kick up the pace and Rey steals another win via a Sunset Flip and scores another clean victory @ 8:44 the moral is? Eddy still can’t cleanly beat Rey.

Stage Two

Mexican Death Match Rules are simply, pin your opponent and render him to the ground for 10 seconds. This is a war. They break out all sorts of amazing spots and bumps here. There are 2 close calls for Rey here, once where he goes for a springboard rana but Eddy just spikes him with a pile-driver and scores the 3 count but Rey gets up @ the 9. Eddy is a bloody mess and Rey wears a white mask to show his blood soaking through the mask. A couple minutes later, Eddy hit’s the frog splash and gets the 3 count but rey is up at the 9. Another short brawl leads them to the turnbuckle where Eddy counters the RANA attempt into a Face buster straight to the floor onto an open chair. Eddy tosses Rey in and covers, gets the pinfall and then finally Scores a fall victory over Mysterio @ 21:22(total)

Stage Three

Cage Match

As the cage comes down, Eddy quickly grabs weapons such as chairs, the ringside bell, a table and a couple pans to prepare for the final stage while Rey is slowly recovering. The cage is down and Eddy quickly pounces onto the attack. They brawl some more until the each start to scale the cage together, Eddy with Chair in hand. The rules are simple. ESCAPE. A table is set up into the middle of the ring as they brawl on top of the cage, Rey ducks Eddy’s swing of the chair and smacks it back into eddy’s head and eddy is dazed. Rey throws a couple punches and looks to toss Eddy off the top to the ring but is hesitant because he still loves Eddy but Eddy snaps back and kicks Rey and Sets him up and BOOM! Powerbombs him straight through the table. Crowd is stunned and chants Holy Shit, as Eddy is frozen and sees rey practically dead. He starts to climb back to check on him but stops and grins and climbs back up and over the cage and celebrates his victory @ 29:25 as his old friend rey lays motionless in the center of the ring.

6. MNM defeat Eugene and Heidenreich after Melina taunts Eugene and MNM cheat to win @ 7:12

7. Chris Benoit and Jordan work to a double DQ @ 6:55 after Benoit murders Jordan for about 5 minutes until Morgan and Bashams come out and Benoit grabs a chair and swings away and the match is thrown away.

8. Batista defeats JBL with the Batista Bomb @ 19:23 in a really solid old school brawl after The Cabinet runs in again to help JBL but Benoit charges out and chases them away opening JBL to the BOMB.

The next Smackdown, Benoit and JBL once again confront each other and they brawl throughout the arena. They agree to a FCA match at Summer Slam.

Batista opens the door to any challengers for the title and the dead-man himself answers it. Both are played up as faces in one of those “Dominating Monsters” Vs “Immovable Objects” type builds. They play up on the potential of Orton’s intentions here because he would love to get his hands on either one of these two men.

Eddy Guerrero comes out and shortly apologizes for what he did to rey Mysterio

“I’m sorry. So sorry….that I didn’t do a long time ago. I can’t tell you how good it felt to see little Rey out cold like that”…HBK comes out with a serious demeanor.

HBK: I didn’t come out here to congratulate you on your victory last Sunday

Eddy: That’s okay, I wasn’t going to congratulate you on your victory last Sunday either, oh wait. You didn’t win!

HBK: That’s true and I won’t get deny it, Jericho was the better man then me that night. Even the best lose from time to time. However I’m out here for a bigger purpose then a win/loss record. You see eddy, I watched the replay of the ppv and paid close attention to your actions against Rey during that match and to be honest, to see the way you are now with your actions; it makes me sick and sad for you. A couple years ago you came to me not as a fellow wrestler or Texan but as a friend and asked me for my help because you were going through such a hard time in your life. You were addicted to painkillers and alcohol and you had lost everything from your career and more importantly, your family and faith. You asked me to help you guide you back and I did what I could although it was up to you and you did it Eddy. You found your faith and got your career back and your family back. You went and won the WWE Title last year and celebrated with Chris Benoit @ WMXX. You had everything we strive for in our lives…and now I see you and I can tell you have slipped haven’t you Eddy? You let those demons creep back into you. I see the look of lost in your eyes. I couldn’t believe that you would do that to your best friend but you did and I know why, because you can’t control yourself. The pressure of being on top was too much to handle wasn’t it eddy?

Eddy: PRESSURE?!? You come to me and talk about pressure? What would you know a damn thing about PRESSURE?! You know who I am? EDDY GUERRERO! The son of a LEGEND. I was thrust into his shadow from day one! All my life I fought against his shadows, I put my life on the line and for that my reward was nothing but suffering and pain. You are right though shawn, it’s no secret that I am slipping. Its not because of why you think Shawn. It’s because I spent a year of my life trying to be someone I wasn’t. coming out in those low riders and the dance music, that’s not who I am Shawn. Im Eddy Guerrero, the greatest wrestler to ever emerge from Mexico. I have no demons except my will to be the top of the game and I had it last year and I became ADDICTED to it and it was taken away from me before my very eyes…and there’s not a thing or anyone that will keep me from getting my fix. Not even you Shawn.

They build up to their showdown @ Summer Slam.

Chris Jericho fresh off his victory over Shawn Michaels is asked by Teddy Long, “why didn’t you step up to Batista’s challenge? Certainly your victory over HBK would have merited you as a reputable contender”

Jericho: Well of course it would have, I already was one before last Sunday when I pinned Shawn with his own move. But actually I have other intentions here for now. I’ll get that title in due time and besides, why go after the monster now? When I can wait for him to starve and become desperate. Right now I actually had a issue to settle…I really don’t want to be here. I perfer MONDAY NIGHTS. I’m a Monday Night kind of guy you see and I would still be there if it weren’t for a certain individual, I would still be on Monday Nights and that’s none other then Eugene.

They build to that match.

Chavo Guerrero asks Paul London, since he proven he was a changed man and did score the winning pinfall, that he should get a title shot and assured him it would be a clean match. London agrees and challenges him that night.

They have a 6 minute match until Mexi-Cools come out and take the announce table. A few minutes later They all charge the ring and distract the ref while Chavo takes the belt and clocks London with it and covers and wins back the CW Title and Joins the Mexi-Cools to reveal it was just an elaborate ruse to trick London.

London challenges Chavo for the title @ Slam but Chavo insists that he beat all the other Mexi-Cools first. He does and they meet at Slam.

Smackdown side for Summer Slam

World Title

Batista Vs Undertaker

Falls Count Anywhere

JBL Vs Benoit

Eddy Guerrero Vs Shawn Michaels

CW Title

Paul London Vs Chavo Guerrero

Chris Jericho Vs Eugene

On Raw side is

WWE Title Match

John Cena Vs Edge (takes his MITB match here, argues that the stip said for the raw world title and tells eric that there's a loophole that says he could jump to SD for a one night deal to face their champion and should he win that title, he would SD property)

Triple H Vs The Big Show (Triple H should let Cena build up his heat and Momentum before burying him later this fall and keep self busy with a somewhat big name value he can bury)

Shelton Benjamin Vs Charlie Haas (the standard, former partners explode)

US Title Match

CCC Vs Kane (CCC makes the mistake of offending Kane)

Summer Slam

1. Paul London Defeats Chavo Guerrero by count-out @ 7:14

2. CCC defeats Kane by DQ @ 6:03

3. Chris Jericho defeats Eugene by ref’s decision @ 12:56

4. Charlie Haas cradles Benjamin @ 8:52

5. Chris Benoit makes JBL tap out @ 15:59 on the top of JBL’s limo

6. Triple H defeats TBS via pedigree @ 8:43

7. Eddy Guerrero pins Shawn after a Frog Splash @ 22:25 with heavy cheating

8. John Cena pins Edge @ 17:00 with FU

9. Batista pins Undertaker @ 14:11 with Batista Bomb.

That’s just how I would do it....

Here's my predictions...

Rey is staying on Smackdown!...Mexicools and he will interact.

EDDIE IS GOING TO RAW TONIGHT.

BIG SHOW IS GOING TO RAW TONIGHT.

_________________

Come Smackdown!

Rey replaces Big Show in 6-way.

Match sees:

- Taker/Hassan double-countout and/or DQ, brawl to back, sets up GAB match?

- Rey eliminated.

- Booker, Benoit, and JBL.

Booker and Benoit set up a GAB match.

JBL wins and becomes the Smackdown! champion.

However...ENTER BATISTA w/ World Title. They have a staredown to end the show.

That'd be awesome. JBL/Batista is a match people would wanna see, given both will shed blood, and the tease around No Way Out/WM 21.

Earlier in the show, Shelton debuts and wins the U.S. Title, but there's a controversial double-pin.

_________________

JBL can keep his "Smackdown!' Title, altho Teddy long, the next week, declares it WORTHLESS since the WORLD TITLE is now Smackdown!'s title. JBL refuses to acknowledge the World Title.

So, for Great American Bash, we get:

- World Heavyweight Champion Batista Vs. Smackdown! Champion JBL

- U.S. Champion Shelton Benjamin Vs. Orlando Jordan

- Chris Benoit Vs. Booker T (#1 U.S. Title Contender?)

- Muhammad Hassan Vs. The Undertaker

- Cruiserweight Champion Paul London, Rey Mysterio, and someone Vs. Super Crazy, Juventud, and Psicosis

And such...

JBL wins at Bash (His second World Title win at Bash in a row, MAJOR LEAGUE SCREWJOB).

Batista wins title back at SummerSlam, in his hometown.

______________

Compared to last year's Smackdown! shitty offerings at SummerSlam, we get:

JBL/Batista rematch

Shelton/Benoit (!!!!)

Booker/someone (Hassan?)

London/Juventud

3 outta 4 ain't bad.

I'm going on a limb here and saying that Batista and Jericho are going to Smackdown. I don't know who will go to Raw but either Eddie or Rey would be one of them.

Edge's contract from the Money in the Bank ladder match was for the World Heavyweight Title, not WWE title, correct?

Batista going to SD would mean that Edge would lose his title shot I believe...

If Eddie goes to Raw there is basically zero reason to watch Smackdown though. Over the past 4 months I can't think of much on the show that has been legit good besides the Eddie/Rey stuff. Angle/Booker was so bad it was good, but not legit good.

Yes but it's easy to create loopholes, such as Edge threatening to challenge Batista on Smackdown property and threating to take the title and stay there.

The contract never stated

"CAN ONLY BE RECEIVED DURING RAW TELECAST"

So then Eric, not wanting to lose a superstar to Smackdown and that John Cena hates Edge as a person(face it, it allows alot of material for Cena to use with the lita deal and they have to cater to that cena fanbase), Edge is offered a restructured contract against John Cena.

What it does is basically gets rid of a pesky plot hole in edge's character, easily sets up a PPV co-main event and is another vehicle to put Cena's character over.

Let's say Eddy remains on Smackdown, I believe SD will improve because 2 of these 4 will move over

Christian

Benjamin

Shawn

Jericho

in addition to Batista.

If you can get at least 2 of those 4, esp Jericho and Shawn you really create fresh matches.

I think they will add 2 of those to appease "wrestling" fans and devote Raw to being the show of the big names.

I know the draft deadline is tonight but what about the trading deadline? How long is that open to?

Which means tonight at the Smackdown! taping the "draft deadline" will be hyped as "ending tonight at midnight". Meaning Thursday, after the show airs, at midnight.

So everything won't be cleared up tonight.
