Who will take Batista's title?

Hassan winning the World Title in Washington would be appealing for some reason.

But I would just do that just for the sake of it being in Washington. Otherwise, I dont see any point giving Hassan the World Title.

Orton seems like the best bet to be the next World Champ.

Orton or the Undertaker. I have a STRONG feeling its only a matter of time before The Animal squares off with the Dead Man.

Lesnar was easy for me to buy as a Champion. Sure, I felt like he got the belt a little too early (4 short months after his debut), but his size and ability made it easy for me to accept him.

I've never been able to buy Orton as a threat to anyone. Just look at the guy. He's a little over 6 feet tall, and has hardly any bulk to him. He just screams "angry skinny man" at me. Aside from his above-average mic skills, he makes me think of a taller Spike Dudley. When HHH destroyed him at the 05 Rumble, it was one of the very few times I've wanted HHH to win a match in a long long time.

Anyone who has seen my postings on the 2002 KOTR and Lesnar beating RVD in the finals knows my feelings on it.  I think it was the single dumbest one match booking decision of the past five years.  Anyone want to come up with something worse?  There are plenty of "HHH beating _______" decisions, but there isn't just one that stands out.  I never had any use for Brock after this match, it was the sort of "I will never like that guy" feeling I had when Michaels beat the British Bulldog for the IC in 1992.

I think Hogan winning the title in 2002 was much more offensive.

That was actually 50% of the reason I stopped watching wrestling. Hogan made me give up on SmackDown, but I stuck it out with Raw through the summer, until HHH was given the World Title for free by Bischoff, at which point I turned it off for good, except for watching an occational PPV at a friend's house.

Actually, the current situation is why I think WWF made a huge mistake when they dropped King of the Ring. They could have built up Orton's cred by having him win KOTR, then beat Benoit, and move on, but right now, does Orton really have ANY credibility? Who was the last person he actually beat? I personally think Dave Batista will be eating JBL's clothesline very soon, unless they go with a groan inducing Basham vs. JBL thing. Orton will be jobbing for Taker for the rest of the summer, since no one gets put over by Taker anymore, They won't elevate Christian, so he'll be going after the US title, and for some reason they want to destroy the soul of Eddie or something. Actually, what about Regal? I've heard he's been acting more heelish, maybe he'll be this year's JBL, only, you know, good. Eh, it's late and I'm rambling now

Kinda off topic.

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that all the WWF titles are on Raw and all the WCW titles(except the tags belts) are on Smackdown? I wonder if even the WWE realized that.

Looks like the Great American Bash is gonna have a WCW feel this year.

It's in Buffalo. If it was authentic GAB, it would be in Baltimore.

It's authentic enough for me, I'm going. It's not like EVERY GAB was in Baltimore anyways. And the "WWE" Tag Titles are actually a Smackdown! only title that only got named that because the WWE title was on Smack! when they were introduced; and the WWE World Tag Titles got shortened to World Tag Titles to go along with RAW's then World Championship. The belts on RAW are actually the authentic history wise WWE tag belts; so yes, RAW does have all the real belts.

Please, not Hassan. He's terrible in the ring, which wouldn't be so bad (see Cena), but Hassan has no credibility, and really isn't over (cheap heat & reflexive "USA!" chants do not = "over"). He'd make an awful champ, and would only serve to hurt Batista's heat. Hell, I'd take the Randy Orton over Hassan, and I can't stand Orton.

I'd say Orton, or a returning Brock.
