Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2005 If the game still has the Dupree Bomb, isn't that basically the Falcon Arrow with a pin? Or is it the Minchinoku Driver? no duprees move is basically minchinoku driver with a pin, but not as cool looking. I hadnt noticed the FA was gone, but since holly isnt in the game I guess no surprise. Ill look for it for you ok? maybe they changed the name

Ill look for it for you ok? maybe they changed the name I don't think Hardcore Holly has used the Falcon Arrow for quite sometime since his finisher has been the "Alabama Slamma" (Damn what a stupid name for a finisher) for the past few years. Silence 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 How do you get Jake without a PSP? Is it possible? Get a Gameshark or a Codebreaker and use the "Unlock All WWE Shop" code on the caws.hostingzero.com website. Edit: Oh shit, I double posted.
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted December 4, 2005 Falcon Arrow's gone. Bullshit. The closest thing is probably the Ki Krusher, or 99 Crusher as it's called in the game. They took out the samoan driver too.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 (edited) Holly's got Moves Set 1 even though he's not in the game. However, there's nothing like the Falcon Arrow to be found in that set, sadly. Which is why I think it may have been axed. I looked through all of the possible finishers and didn't see it. Dupree Bomb is basically a Mich driver that hooks both legs after a pin. There are still ??? marks for some moves, so it may have been renamed (a la "Air Raid Siren.") So great, let me know if it is in J82. The closest I see is the Gordbuster 2 (facefirst) and the Orange Crush (which ain't gonna cut it). I think the earlier games had a regular version and a spinning version; I know No Mercy did. Although if it's going to be for the PS3 (which doesn't seem too promising), then I don't really give a shit anymore.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 How in the hell do you get out of the sleeper hold where they do the three count? Whenever the cpu, or another player, puts that on me, it's an instant loss.
Ced 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 I've found the top-rope spear to be one of the most effective normal moves in the game. Just make sure you're opponent is facing you and pop him/her with it. As long as you get the knock-down animation, you'll immediately pop back up and you can recover a bit of stamina before making your way up to the top and getting ready to rinse and repeat. Since it's a top-rope move you can build up a special in no time. My maxed-out CAW has it and, along with the Shining Wizard as a finish, he can KO almost everyone he comes across in Slobber Knocker mode with just those two moves. And if that doesn't do it, the almighty sleeper with body scissors afterwards will make them tap most of the time.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 I am very impressed with something in season mode: A few days ago I played a bit, and got to the ECW invasion, and thought that was pretty cool, but I forgot to save it. I started playing it again tonight, and I got the ECW invasion angle again, but they are presenting it in a totally different way. The first time I entered the Rumble at #1, lost, but when it restarted I won it. Tonight I entered at #1, but I stayed in the ring the entire time, won the match, and it wasn't restarted. Do they do that with all of the angles in the game? I sure hope so, because I really like this. EDIT: I just had one of the best matches ever against the cpu. I'm Bradshaw in my career (you know he's one of my favorites), and I was taking on Mysterio. Every time I would try to pin him, his partner would jump up getting the ref's attention, then they both started trying to hit me with weapons, to end the match with a DQ. I eventually won, but it was a great, realistic, type of match.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 (edited) Yeah, I was wondering about how many different storyline variants you can get depending on brand, superstar, and the choices you sometimes must make. I finished my Smackdown season with Eddie just now and I got the Torrie's Contract, Legends Tour, ECW Invasion, and Road to WrestleMania (chose not to join ECW) storylines. Obviously, they have different stuff for Raw, but I wonder what could have happened had I made different choices or picked a different wrestler. Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 I'm impressed by the CPU sometimes in Season Mode. In my first season with JBL I chose the Triple Threat match to go for number 30 in the Rumble. But Kurt Angle took me out with a chair when the referee was down, then when the referee got back up he hit Paul London with the Angle Slam and he won the damn match. Also I had a World Tag Team Titles match against Dupree and Conway. Things were looking good until all of a sudden Conway hit me with a sledgehammer and they were DQ'ed. But titles can't change hands by DQ so they retained With JBL I had ----> Legends Tour - The Undertaker's Urn - Time to Rumble - ECW Invasion (Road to WrestleMania) - Chose to join ECW, RVD turned on ECW to join WWE --> I won the WWE Title at WrestleMania Now I'm doing a RAW season with Muhammad Hassan. Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 I (JBL) just beat RVD for the world title at WM, and I laughed my ass off when JBL and Vince gave RVD the 3D through a table.
Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 Lol they did? I guess that would have happened in my game as well if I stayed with the WWE, but instead I joined ECW. I'm loving my Bobby Lashley CAW, but the Dominator is not in the game. Also, how can you get the other move sets?

Silence 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 Chris Jericho is the most annoying opponent EVER Wasn't Jericho also frustrating with his constant counters in HCTP? Angle was, too. HHH was really hard to beat in HCTP because whenever he had a special and hit The Pedigree on Smackdown difficulty, it almost seemed like I'd never kick out of it every time, even when I was only in the yellow. AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 HHH was pretty annoying in HCTP, but nobody else was as annoying as Taker. Those damn infinite grapple strike loops were very hard to escape.

Taker was difficult on Smackdown difficulty, especially Old School Undertaker. I had to trip OS Taker from outside the ring, hit him with aerial moves, or hit him with multiple finishers/running strikes/grapples constantly to have a chance of beating him most of the time. The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2005 I had a really fun 30:00 Iron Man match earlier today that ended a 8-8 tie while I had my friend in a chokehold that would have made him tap at about 30:01 or :02. Really cool finish, though. Anybody else have this happen to them?
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2005 For the love of all that is pure and good, could any of you please give me some tips on how to do this? Overcome the Odds Match: Singles Superstar: Any Win the match after receiving 2 finishers
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2005 For the love of all that is pure and good, could any of you please give me some tips on how to do this? Overcome the Odds Match: Singles Superstar: Any Win the match after receiving 2 finishers Use 2 controllers. If you're one of those that thinks thats 'cheating' then pick someone (or give someone) with 2 submission finishers and just...not tap out. Or at least someone with a ground finisher, because they use those almost always as soon as it pops up. Or you could use someone really strong against someone really weak, like HHH vs Joy or something. It's not that hard.

Really cool finish, though. Anybody else have this happen to them? I had a freaking 6 man elimination match that last like 30 minutes today because Carlito and Chris Masters wouldn't stop breaking up the fucking pin on each other >_>. It was a Survivor Series match, Shawn/Carlito/Masters vs JBL/Rey/Matt. It was hard to get Shawn out, but eventually I just said fuck trying to pin him, and quickly put him in a submission getting him to tap out before his partners could do anything. But it took forever to get the next guy out. Even though I had them both in all red, even when I got the 'knockout' animation for someone, as soon as I pinned his partner, he just quickly got up and ran into the ring. But as for anything like you case, I've done something similar...but it was on purpose. (2 human controlled people) HHH vs Shawn Michaels Iron man match. Triple H was down by I would guess one, think it was 4 to 5. With probaly around 30 seconds left, knock out the ref, get the sledgehammer and knock the shit out of Shawn Michaels, pick the ref up, and pin. That left like 10 secs, since he was dirty...full meter, pick Shawn up, BAM! Pedigree, he's out, pin, win with around 1 second left. It just looked so damn cool. Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2005 Use 2 controllers. If you're one of those that thinks thats 'cheating'... How in the world is that not cheating? I've tried with HHH vs. Hogan, and I can't get it done that way. Every single time he hits the second leg drop, it totally knocks HHH out, and leads to an automatic pin. I've also had a problem with the cpu saving finishers, then doing mine to me, and that doesn't seem to be acceptable for this challenge.
Anya 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2005 How in the world is that not cheating? It's not against the rules set by the challenge.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2005 I'm sure the entire point of it then is for you to use a second controller, and do every single one of the challenges...without a challenge.
Anya 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2005 If Yukes leaves something like that in it's their fault. I even used a multitap to do the elimation chamber and ecw challenges easily.
