DangerousDamon Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Paul London's the WotD, and guess what his finishers are? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Waffle Face and the 450?
PsychoDriver Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Those London videos were kinda dissapointing. Didn't even get to see the Dropsault and it's the same old 450. Sometimes I wonder if IGN sets out to have the most boring matches possible in their WOTD videos.

Guest clockworkraven Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 It looks like he gets stuck halfway when he's putting on the Masterlock and can't link his hands.
Silence Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 It looks like he gets stuck halfway when he's putting on the Masterlock and can't link his hands. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sounds similar to the "Self-High Five" taunt in the Smackdown series with the hands not connecting together like in real life.

Guest TheDon Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 There are rumors going around on the legends. Last I heard it was Owen Hart, Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, British Bulldog, Rock, Steve Austin, Hawk, Animal and several more.
The Mandarin Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Only a few hours until we find out if we get Vader(~!). Vader not being on the game would be a huge disappointment. It's Vader.
Guest clockworkraven Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 It's the spinner belt. Wonder if that changes back to the old belt when you win it?
DrVenkman PhD Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 QnA is up at IGN and will be a regular Friday feature this month. http://ps2.ign.com/articles/656/656781p1.html
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 So we still didn't find out who all the legends were?
The Mandarin Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Haw, glennsoe got his question answered.
Team Angle Pusher Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Players who are cut open have a bandage on their head the next week, sweet.
Guest TheDon Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Players who are cut open have a bandage on their head the next week, sweet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats the little things they need to start adding. Good job by thq. Hopefully the season mode and gameplay are improvements over last year.
Team Angle Pusher Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Yay I can't wait to wrestle on Heat and Velocity. Shame Tyson Tomko isn't in the game, I would seriously love that. I think I'll play with Randy Orton first cause he seems to have a lot of storylines and then someone like Dupree or Grenier just to wrestle on Heat and then make my way up to the top. Although Hassan is gonna be frigging awesome as well and Masters....hmmm
Jericholic82 Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Masters' entrance looks pretty good, except for the missing robe/cape thing when he first comes out. and it doesnt say "the masterpiece" under his name in the chyron like in real life, yet in every SD game Shawn has "Heartbreak Kid Shawn Micahels" on the chyron even though it just says Shawn Michaels in real life. LAZY LAZY YUKES Londons looks ok, except he doesn't slide alll the way through the ring and under the other side like real life oh well damn yukes
Da Maintenance Man Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 @ all the nitpicking of this game...& it isn't even out yet!
Guest TheDon Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 I wonder what complete build IGN is using for the Videos?
Guest Askewniverse Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 http://ps2.ign.com/articles/656/656778p1.html Legends - Andre the Giant - Bret Hart - The British Bulldog - '80s Hogan - Hulk Hogan - Hollywood Hogan - Jake Roberts - Jimmy Hart - Junkyard Dog - Mankind - The Rock - Stone Cold Steve Austin - Ted Dibiase - "legends cage" (old-school blue bar) is in - the Million Dollar Belt is in - secret arena: WrestleMania IX arena I'm a bit disappointed at the legends list. In my opinion, there's no need for three different versions of Hogan.

I miss the old days like when No Mercy had each wrestler with 4 different costumes. Everybody knew about the blue bar steel cage for months.
The Mandarin Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Disappointing. Where are Vader, Billy Graham and Harley Race? They've all signed legends contracts, haven't they? And I'd much rather have 80's Flair and Ricky Steamboat over two variations of Hogan.
Perfxion Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 The bad: three Hogans The good: three completely different Hogans.
DrVenkman PhD Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 I love Hogan and I love being Hogan in video games, but THREE versions of him seem a bit much. Hollywood (heel) and Hulk (face) variants would be fine, I guess, but do we need an 80s Hulk as well as regular Hulk and Hollywood Hogan? Or is "Hulk Hogan" refering to modern day long tye dye pants wearing Hulk? Other than that and the fact the Vader thing was false, I'm cool with that. JYD should be neat in video game form and I'm all up for a better DiBiase then we got in 2003. Jake and Jimmy I'm cool with too, Bulldog is a good choice. Yeah, there could have been others, but I don't dislike any of he Legends on that list (outside of the 3 Faces of Hogan deal... but hey that might end up being cool too). Blue bar cage... we all assumed this but it's good to have it confirmed. The big news here is the arena I've been wanting for YEARS is FINALLY in a game. I've always suggested to THQ that it would be great to have classic WM arenas, specifically WMIX... and there it is! Awesome, awesome, awesome. Hopefully this means time travel plays a key role in the story mode.
Aero Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 No Vader, but THREE Hogans? That really sucks. Where did that rumor get started, before it hit our board, that is? Everyone else is decent, with the only questionables being JYD and Jimmy Hart... who wants to play as a manager, anyway. His only good use will likely be for manager matches. Ted DiBiase means we get his theme song... hopefully. And I can't wait to unlock WM IX arena.

Hopefully this means time travel plays a key role in the story mode. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, there IS a rumor going around that HHH knocks you out with a sledgehammer after a match, and when you wake up, you're in the locker room at Caesar's Palace getting ready to have a match. Of course, only with Doink's genius plan are you able to get back into your own time, so in order for him to help you, you must agree to be the second Doink.... BTW, I'm surprised that classic Undertaker isn't taking up a Legends spot. Obviously, that was reserved for Hogan this year.
Silence Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 The Legends list gets more disappointing every year. THQ just HAD to feed Hogan's ego even more, didn't they? Jake Roberts and Ted DiBiase being in are OK with me, though.
Papacita Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Awesome, awesome, awesome. Hopefully this means time travel plays a key role in the story mode. That would be tight. Like, maybe they could pull something like in X-Men Legends where you approach...say HBK in the back and you'd get to play a flashback of the WMX ladder match or something along that line.
Vyce Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 The good: Bulldog, Roberts, Dibiase returning. The bad: pretty much everything else. Well, perhaps not entirely. I don't mind Andre or Bret returning, and at least there are no fucking Road Warriors in it this time.
