Steve J. Rogers Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 During one of Piper's face runs in WCW, going up against Hogan, he came up with a shirt proclaming that he was an Icon, only it was done in acroynm form I.C.O.N. Now, what the hell was that supposed to mean? I Cower Over Nobody eh, I can't come up with too many sentences that make sense with I.C.O.N unless it was parts of words or something Steve
Jericholic82 Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Yep you got it right. Thats what it stood for (Piper said so himself on Nitro once IIRC)
CanadianGuitarist Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 If you didn't know, then I gotta say, that was a fucking good guess on your behalf.
that1870sguy Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 So then what's the deal with the "Frats!" t-shirt? For the longest time, my peeps always thought it said "Farts!"
Guest xSarahx Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 In Piper's book, he refers to fellow wrestlers and wrestlers that have passed away as his "Frat brothers" as in the so-called wrestler fraternity. Otherwise, it's just a term for wrestlers because they used to practically live with each other on the road and were close.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Piper always explained "ICON" as "I Cower Over Nothin'!" on Nitro, BTW.
zyn081 Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Nobody, nothing. Potatoes, potatoes. Tomatoes, tomatoes.
PLAGIARISM! Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 I always wondered about 'FRATS!'. Now I know, it is terrible.
10 Pounds Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Piper also had a "Yes Sir !" t-shirt during the Russo Era in WCW. I wonder if they ever sold it to the public ?
Si82 Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Piper also had a "Yes Sir !" t-shirt during the Russo Era in WCW. I wonder if they ever sold it to the public ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't remember that one but I remember the "Reality Check" one from 1999. Could you buy that one?
Dandy Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Piper's shirts and catchphrases were the drizzling shits in WCW.
