Dips Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 "Jericho did a promo noting that he beat Hall of Famers Rock and Austin on the same night, and that Cena is nothing but Andrew Shue or David Cassidy. He also said he's a Hall of Famer. Tomorrow may not be his best day." That's what Meltzer said on his site. What did he mean by the last sentance?
Brocklock Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 I think he meant that Jericho didn't get in the WON Hall Of Fame.
BorneAgain Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 I think at this point Summerslam as an event is officially the Twilight Zone in terms of crowd response.
Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 this match has been quite good
Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 and cena isnt liked by a fair bit of the crowd
Dips Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 The crowd would've torn the roof off the place if Jericho won it there. This crowd is gonna be interesting in the Hogan match.
Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 that was 3 chant fu 1-2-3
Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 i demand a bloodbath next
Guest Zarock Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 What, are people angry that Jericho lost?
Vyce Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 The problem is that the booking of some of these short matches makes some sense, but they shouldn't be the kind of matches that are on a big four PPV like Summerslam. Matches this short shouldn't be on ANY PPV. It's bad enough that the average match on RAW or Smackdown (outside of maybe the main) is only about 3 minutes long, having 5 minute PPV matches is just inexcusable, unless they've stacked the PPV with something like a dozen matches or more.
Astro7x Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 That was quite a nice reversal into the FU though
Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 i dont like that wm 22 logo
ChrisMWaters Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 ... ... Weird new WrestleMania 22 logo. And it's back to 22 insted of XXII.
Boon Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 Anything longer then the times alotted would reveal half the people on this card to be the mediocre hacks they are. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Then they shouldn't be on PPV cards. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not arguing that. I absolutely agree. Unfortunately for us all, I don't do the booking.

BorneAgain Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 What, are people angry that Jericho lost? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Disappointed is more like it. They guessed that Cena would likely win, and probably should for business, but they also hoped that Jericho might pull out a win.
Boon Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 I was really hoping that the whole "Jericho on hiatus" thing was a wwe.com work.
Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 jbl dollars = ratings
BorneAgain Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 So how will they explain Jericho's absence? Bischoff suspension because he failed to unseat Cena, and that now he's found a new perfect challenger (Angle) is my guess.
ChrisMWaters Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 I want to get a JBL $100 bill off EBay for some reason.
SuperJerk Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 Yup, No Way Out 2000, for the IC title. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know they wrestled a few times in late 2001/early 2002 (with Jericho consistently winning)... Anybody else think its time they had another feud?
Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 or since this is shoot month, they could say Jericho is so pissed he lost, hes leaving to work on his music career, so you soon assclowns.

They did wrestle a heel-heel match on Raw shortly after No Way Out in 2002 for the Undisputed Title, but other than that I can't think of anything.
Quit Calling My Mama Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 Is it just me or was that pop for Batista absolutely HUGE? EDIT: Yeah, i just remembered it's in DC (his hometown). Silly me.
ChrisMWaters Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 Batista played the part of Goldberg, spearing JBL through the barricade. Of course, this time, it was from the other side.
