That was great. The ending might have fallen a little flat, but that was one of the most intense matches I've seen in a long time. It was as close to a shoot fight as you'll get in a WWE ring.

Next month, it will get the spot on the Unforgiven card it rightfully deserves.

REALLY disapointing PPV thus far...this is the first PPV I have bought since Wrestlemania...and it is looking to be my last. I can't justify spending $$ on WWE anymore. TOO much talk not enough action for me.

Im glad there wasnt a wrestling hold in sight.. It was realistic enough though, even went longer than your typical 'fight'.

I wonder how it will hold up later though when eddie and rey do much worse to each other in a ladder match ant it DOESNT get stopped.

I guess Hogan/HBK is going to last an hour.

So glad I'm just reading the recaps and didn't pay the $35 for this.

Then again, maybe we'll get that Edge vs. Batista match we were talking about earlier.

**gets his hopes up**

Aside from that spear spot, and insane ringpost bump by Matt, that match was pretty lame.

It was meant to be a brutal fistfight between these two guys with a few chokes and stomps thrown in. If Edge or Matt would have attempted something as simple as a bodyslam or a suplex, the match would have COMPLETELY failed.

They made it a realistic fight -- which is exactly what it needed to be. They really couldn't have done a better job with that match.

And yeah.. to pick up on what Chris said, was that a legit stop? I thought that myself at first... all will be revealed later if Matt beats edge up backstage during an interview segment

The way this is going the PPV will be over within the hour.

Either its a very long Cena/Jericho match or a very long Batista/JBL match.. I cant see the Hogan match going past 30 mins at most.

Or we have some 'bonus' matches thrown in, or a masterlock challenge

They could have had Edge pound on him a bit more. When it's almost a mortal lock that Eddie, HBK and/or JBL will bleed buckets later on tonight and none of those matches will be stopped at that point by the official, it looks a bit silly to have the referee step in for Matt so quickly. The idea was correct, I just didn't like the execution.

Perhaps we can put it down to the refs judgement given the nature of the whole thing i dont know.. Surely its more controversial than two people fighting for the custody of a child :(

Does that mean, Eddie/Rey's already over.

Yes. They actually hoisted Dominique over the ring, and Rey carried him down with the ladder. Dominique turned on Rey and told him he wanted to be Eddie's son because we'd have a better chance of growing up to be a normal height. Eddie then drove off with Dominique in his lowrider, which was equipped with a WWE custom car-seat (now for sale at wwe.com).
