franchise632 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2005 So here is the thing, I am sure there are atleast a few of you here that have gone to college recently or are currently enrolled. I am looking at going to college for the first time after having been out of high school since 1998. I filed all my FA paperwork but they say I made to much money ($18,000) last year to qualify for more then like 2,000 in grant money. The problem is that in order to get a loan I need a cosigner due to my youthful indiscrestions with my credit cards. What I am looking for is someone that has idea on places to apply for grants and things. Anyone have suggestions or things that worked for them in the past? Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks. Not only will you save a buttload of money, but also you could save up when you go to a "real" school. What is your major?...

kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2005 Good luck -- you're going to need it. And if it's only 18 months, take the financial hit and pay it back when you're working third shift at 7-11, err, when you become the Voice of the *Insert Team Name Here.* BTW: How much will these 18 months cost?... franchise632 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2005 Which is where the part about needing a cosigner comes in. I have applied for all loans that I qualify for. I am unable to get them on my own because of poor choices in the past which I take full responsibilty for. I am just going to have to pay as I go until the next FAFSA window opens up next year. Good times. Anyone no any good sites that have listing to apply for grant money or scholarships? Things that may have worked for you in the past? It seems whenever I try a google search it brings up lots of sites to buy books and such.
