Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2005 Magnus? Jericho? They don't exactly fit in the ideal of the Radicalz. Christian and Benjamin are perfect though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Magnus and Jericho don't fit the ideal of a group that was unhappy about being misused?

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2005 Cause I remember how we shared time together and how you used to say that the stars are forever. And dreamed about how to make your life better by leaving town, leaving town. In memory of Damian "The Dames" Gonzalez. Good luck in the real world, little soldier. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2005 Magnus? Jericho? They don't exactly fit in the ideal of the Radicalz. Christian and Benjamin are perfect though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Magnus and Jericho don't fit the ideal of a group that was unhappy about being misused? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There's more than just 4 workers being misused. In WCW there were about 15 people wanting to leave. Only 4 ended up doing so, the Radicalz. In this case, it'd be ideal for Magnus to just stay and have another try at it. There's no reason for him to feel all angsty and want to leave for RoH or anything. Also, I don't really see a good connection between Magnus and Benjamin/Christian. Saturn/Benoit/Malenko/Guerrero were all acknowledged as being good friends, Hassan I don't think is much of a "good" friend to the other 3 guys you want in the group. If you're going to recreate such a group, please be more accurate in your selection. Oh yeah, Jericho... well he doesn't need a group to use as a crutch. He can get over on his own somewhere else. Just play his music and watch an indy crowd roar to life.
Toshiaki Koala 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2005 For an organization that exists to make money, the WWE sure does hate making money.

USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2005 Honestly I wouldn't rehash the Radicalz thing. That was an one-time impact thing. If I was to be forced though to create one, I'd have Christian, Shelton, Charlie Haas and one of the original OVWers (Dinsmore, Basham, Damaja or Conway). Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2005 They're poorly rehashing Austin/McMahon with Cena and Bischoff...I think redoing the Radicalz would work better. There isn't a stable working right now anyway.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2005 I just realized that my group made no sense either. I don't really recall who are friends and who aren't so I can't accurately form a group that's true to the Radicalz concept (if there was one).

This means for WWE to replicate that they probably need AJ Styles, Chris Daniels, CM Punk and AmDrag or something.
Guest JMA Report post Posted August 22, 2005 Christian could be a good "anti-hero" face if pushed correctly. WWE needs some top level faces with an edge to them. Cena has been turned into a cookie-cutter babyface and Batista is starting to be turned into one. Despite what WWE likes to say, Austin (their biggest draw ever) was popular not because he was a "blue-collar hero," but because he wasn't that much of a hero at all. He mainly cared about himself and liked to hurt others--sometimes just because it was fun. He was a power fantasy with a human form. His whole friendship with JR was done to humanize the character, but all it did was make him less counter-culture. Austin's situation is very similar to the Rock's (albeit with vastly different characters).
Guest Suicide King Report post Posted August 22, 2005 Well, I can call shennigans on one of the initial statements. I am one of the few people I know that plays Raw Deal the CCG, and his cards have not been pulled from the upcoming set. Not only that, but this is his second set of cards to receive, having been initially released as a card superstar some 3 years agao both on his own and as a member of Edge & Christian. Anyone who would care to check those facts out can do so at Raw Deal
