Tinkerbell and the Annoying People

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has been slammed by an animal rights group for reportedly dumping her pampered dog Tinkerbell because she grew too big. Tinkerbell is said to have grown past her ideal weight of 3.5 pounds, prompting Hilton to reportedly leave the pooch with her mother Kathy while she pampers a smaller Chihuahua named Bambi. But her alleged actions have angered the People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals, whose spokesman blasts, "It's a pity that Paris' heart doesn't match her pocketbook. Animals shouldn't be disposed of like last season's trendy handbag.

Peta must be really slow right about now if this is the best thing they have to attack. I think it's sad on both parts. PETA for being stupid about the situation and trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. Paris didn't shoot the dog or anything, she is simply not carrying it around in a purse anymore. I think the dog would be happier for this. And there is Paris. Possibly the stupidest person to walk the Earth. Why carry a dog in the first place? If something needs to be put to sleep, it's her.

Of all the real injustices in the world, why does PETA waste their time & energy on a rich woman's dog? Why not spend that time on dealing with their internal employees that were illegally dumping animal carcasses.

Better yet, why doesn't PETA just go away?

Let's see an all out war between PETA and the Hilton Family until the only one left standing is.....well nobody if things work out well.

So explain the thousands of animals you murder each and every year because you don't want to find a home for them.

Not to defend Peta or anything, but the reason they ahve so many animals that have to be put down is because of people loving puppys and tossing them when they become dogs.

^ Send 'em to Asia to feed the poor.

('em == the unwanted dogs, not PETA. Although I'd have no issue with using them to feed the poor, either)

Ripper, my original post was to send 'em to Asia to feed the dog-eaters.

But then I thought of the PETA joke, and it made me laugh, so I changed my first line to better set up my second one.

In the grand scheme of things, I'm jingoistic enough to want to feed the domestic poor & hungry before worrying about feeding the international equivalent.

But, it's okay to carry them around as if they were THIS season's trendy handbag?

As long as Paris doesn't kick the dog out onto the street I don't care what she does to it.

August must be a slow news month for quite a few organizations...

All their main resources are busy getting their stories ready for the 4th anniversary of 9/11. This is what's left.
