Guest deinly1 Report post Posted August 25, 2005 I saw UFC1, I remember Royce winning it, correct me if I'm wrong- but didn't he win with some type of triangle choke?

Hawkius Maximus 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2005 Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria v.s. Mark Coleman at PRIDE 16. Looking back now, we shoulda knew who would have won this fight, but at the time, there was LOTS of doubt on if Nog could beat Coleman, since Coleman was still on a damn roll. The fight really brought the Triangle Choke to the forefront, as Nog caught Coleman with it, Coleman tried his general powering out of the move...and ended up caught in an Triangle Choke Armbar, forcing the submission. I was still pretty new to MMA, but I remember reading previews for the show, and NO ONE predicted that, and through that one fight it pretty much sealed the career of Coleman, and started Nogueria's massive reign at top. ...Plus, it was the first PRIDE show I ever bought. Guest Brian Report post Posted August 27, 2005 Not o single out any match but the amount of history and meaning that is being put into the rear naked choke by the UFC middleweights is getting to be pretty awesome. If St. Pierre wins via RNC, we have something special.

Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2005 St Pierre tapping out that quickly has me worried if Matt gets the mount and starts raining down punches on him in their rematch.
