X-Factor

Recommended Posts

I had no problems with X-Factor. They had some really catchy theme music, and wasnt too bad of a stable. I loved the X-Marks the spot finisher, and Albert as sort of an enforcer for the smaller X-Pac and Justin Credible was cliche, but still worked well, IMO.

I have that Uncle Kracker CD with the theme song. Wasn't that bad of an album. In fact I would say that album was "justin credible!"

2nd worst stable ever besides the Oddities. Yecch...don't even think about creating an oddities thread, the only notable thing they did was beat Kaientai in an awful squash at Summerslam 98.

Don't forget the Cartman Plushie!

...you know, back when South Park was a major thing and all.

Albert teamed with Scotty 2 Hotty during the invasion right? Then turned on him soon after it ended?

And I can't let that pass without mentioning that moment leading to one of the greatest quotes ever (;-)), "YOU MADE ME DANCE FOR SIX MONTHS!!!!!!"

Ah yes, the infamous Albert heel turn. It was filmed for Heat or Jakked, I don't remember but I was there. I was booing the hell out of Albert at the time (although I've come around to him) and yet the marks sorrounding me loved that hip hop hippo. So of course once Albert turned, I kept screaming "HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR PRECIOUS ALBERT NOWWWWWWWWW?" and my friends had to calm me down. I've probably told the story before. I believe the Godfather turned heel on the same show for no reason. I think it was the first B show of the brand extension for Smackdown!

Also, I actually remember watching that X-Factor HeAT episode the day before the ECW return. IIRC, they didn't officially breakup then. It was just that at the time Albert was IC champ and X-Pac Light Heavyweight, and the two champs kept talking about how great their belts looked with their backs turned to Credible as he tried to peak in jealously. I think they gave him one of those replica wrist-sized belts you can order as a gag. So yes, there was X-Factor tension that night in WWF NY, but I really don't think they officially broke up then.

xfactor  had a second theme as well. I forgot who sang it. but this was fater justin left xpac and albert still teamed thru august I belive cuz I went to sd in la in august (the last night of the old sd set) when rhyno gored jericho thru it) and pac and albert teamed against Tajiri and spike dudley.  But I liked their uncle kracker song for some reason .  I hear dit at abr a while ago and I half expected xpac to come out

xpac never defected, he was the lightheavy champ and dissapeared in like september or october after being injured, only to return to the nWo after wm 18

Say what?

were you commenting on my typo'd spelling of "bar" or that I didn't totally hate the Kracker song?

actually the albert turn did air on smackdown IIRC (and wasnt it the first post split sd?) . I have it on tape so I might check that for ya when I get a chance.

Am I right in saying that Justin Credible didn't win another match in the company after X-Factor broke up?

Im pretty sure of that. Come to think of it, the last time I remember seeing him in WWE, aside from One Night Stand, was getting destroyed in every since of the word by Batista in his RAW debut match.

Searching for recaps, you are correct that the Albert turn did happen on Smackdown! However, Godfather's turn was on the Smackdown! B show at the time.

The main reason that X Factor didnt work, was because X - Pac was stale as hell by the time they started and any association with him wouldunt have been good for anyone, having a name that linked the stable to him to him just was the final nail in the coffin.

wasnt godfathers turn due ot the fact that his girls were distracting him?I remember the raw where Hogan ran the truck into rocks ambulance, godfather came out later and the girls were "concernred about rock" and he got mad

I just figured he was mad cuz he had switched to a legit escort service and wasnt making any good cash.
