Hoff 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Short but decent. Congrats to the new tag champs!
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Unfortunately, an offer came up so I didn't get online last night to send my segments. Consider them being edited in as we (or, I) speak (or, type).
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 My first feed in months Good "new champ" promo to open up. Put over the importance of the strap nicely. The announcement of Knight was a surprise, be interesting to see how that pans out. I'm not sure why Fly is fighting Boricua but was a fun little match. Heh! Dusty finish! I totally bought it. Good work from Tony, a nice little old school style tag match here. Los Diablos are an...intriguing team. A cool stablewar developing with team Heyross and CSI. Nice to see Cappa back, if only in character form. What I read of the match was solid. The TLC match was pretty damn cool. Considering 4 of us (although I didn't do much) worked on that, I think it hangs together ok. Of course, its a total spotfest, but who cares. All 8 guys should really be off the next show selling injuries, but I'm sure they'll be ok
KingPK 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 I'm gonna need a lot of coffee to read that whole TLC match. What are we, the SWF all of a sudden? Yeah, it was a short show, but I'll take a short show with a lot of matches over a short show with a bunch of promos and 1 or 2 matches.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 Keep in mind if it were a real show, that TLC match would have been at least 30-45 minutes, so having very little actually works in this case.
Tony149 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 You know what? For fun somebody should timeline the show. With TLC going 30-45 minutes like Zack said, add 12-13 minutes for the NNMX-Docs match and that's 42 or 58 minutes between the two matches combined. 15 minutes of commericals on a 2 hour show and everything probably clicks together in the end. All 8 guys should really be off the next show selling injuries, but I'm sure they'll be ok Remember, all 8 men went from "mortals to immortals" in front of our very eyes. I'll feedback the show later.
Tony149 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2005 Heh! Dusty finish! I totally bought it. Glad you did because I seriously considered doing a title switch, but with Zack and Leon winning the belts (which would of happened the following week if the NNMX-Docs match had been included in last week's show) I thought it would be best if two tag title changes didn't occur in back-to-back weeks so they wouldn't take away from one another (nearly PM'd you with the idea before deciding against it for the reason mentioned). It's also the reason why the Lone Star Gunslingers, who were originally in the role the Sooner Bruisers ended up playing, didn't debut at AngleSlam like I had intended. With Los Diablos debuting I didn't want to have too many new teams running around. Guess the Diablos and Docs are feuding now. Feedback... Very good promos from Hoff and PK. I was surprised to see PK announced as Hoff's first challenger. But I'm all for it. We have a good history of guys moving up the card and delivering the goods in their quest for the World Title. The X-Title, I guess, is the closest thing we have to an old school U.S. or IC Title, in which you know it means #1 contender. Even though they're feuding over the World Title, I like how PK put over the X-Title. Solid Fly-Boricua match. CW on a mission. Like Eski said, nice to see Cappa reappear. Entertaining segment involving Team Heyross and CSI. Even though they haven't wrestled yet, Team Heyross have become a couple of my favorite characters in the OAOAST. Thought the ladder match was excellent. With the number of writers we had working on it, everything meshed well. Lots of crazy spots. My favorite is probably the one where Rodez and my character keep themselves from falling off the ladder by pushing off the top rope. Very clever. I don't think I've seen that done before. Yo, Zack, as President of the OAOAST it's your job to keep moral up and make the guys and gals feel good about the company. What are your thoughts about the ladder match? It was your baby, and I know you couldn't wait to deliver. Was the birth everything you expected?
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 Heh! Dusty finish! I totally bought it. Yo, Zack, as President of the OAOAST it's your job to keep moral up and make the guys and gals feel good about the company. What are your thoughts about the ladder match? It was your baby, and I know you couldn't wait to deliver. Was the birth everything you expected? Just caught this now. 'Tis been a busy week with classes starting and all. I was very, very happy with how the ladder match turned out. I was fortunate enough to have some downtime two weeks ago when I started it off for us, and I had had a bunch of the spots we saw in that match in my head from when KC and I did a TLC match for the SWF that we never got to use (such as Zack taking the powerbomb over the ropes onto the ladder as the Sk8r Boiz were pulling it out, and the final spot with Scotty taking the bump onto the ladder that was stuck in the rungs of the standing one). Other spots, such as the Leon/Tony duel on the teetering ladders I got when thinking of ladder matches I'd seen (I got that spot from an indie match I downloaded last year). The Somersault Samoan Drop through the table with me and the Sk8r Boiz got thought up because I'm now using the SSD as a major move in my matches, and figured I'd get a Holy Shit spot out of it. I thought everyone's portions went well together, and Eski managed to mesh Tony's segment well with the rest of the match. KC gave the match some extra polish with the sound effects and added commentary. All in all I'm proud of this effort, and can and will go on record as saying it was one of the best matches I've ever seen out of the company, and had a ton of fun writing.
