TNABaddboi Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 As noted last night in our Elite Post-Game Show, Sean Waltman no-showed the Unbreakable PPV in Orlando, Florida. Waltman was in contact with TNA officials yesterday afternoon saying he would be there but never arrived. As of right after the PPV, TNA officials had yet to hear from Waltman again. The irony here is that a few months back, Waltman stepped in against Raven when Jeff Hardy no-showed and had a great showing, opening the door for him to be used regularly by TNA. Waltman had put together a string of strong PPV matches of late, including a bout last month with Jerry Lynn. It appears that Waltman's no show put the ice on whatever plans TNA had for Lynn last night as well, putting him into a situation where he returned on one PPV and wasn't even mentioned on the next. TNA had been pursuing Waltman to sign a deal of late, but it remains to be seen what his status will be after this. There were a number of people I spoke to that were down on Waltman for the no-show. Given the fact that the company already suspended Hardy for no-showing, they have set a precedent towards how the situation should be handled. Credit: PWInsider.com This kinda sucks. Waltman has been great in his role since returning in May and would have given TNA a familar face for casual fans come Spike. And I was really hoping he and Shelley would take the tag titles and freshen up the division a lil' bit. I thought we'd have seen them win them at the PPV and then drop them to someone on the first Impact show...but I guees that wasn't meant to be. Thoughts?
Corey_Lazarus Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 My thoughts are that Waltman better have a damn good reason, like he almost died, for this to happen, because the guy seemed to be getting his life back on track and, apparently, was having a lot of good matches and was about get a decent push in TNA...and now he just no-show's.
Astro101 Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I actually went from hating him to enjoying him and his matches recently. If the report is true, then it sucks. Leaving Shelly out there like that and screwing up plans.
Ripper Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I am sorta happy that Alex Shelly doesn't get stuck in a Tag Team...I like Alex Shelly. But yeah, that really does suck that he screwed the plans like that. And his reason had better not be showing up on WWE television.
Guest karlitoapple Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I found this post from another board. "I was listening to The LAW wrestling radio show last night after the PPV, and Dave Meltzer was on as usual. He said there may be a contract dispute between Sean and TNA, as he heard they had wanted him to sign a contract with some ridiculous clauses in it--specifically that if he was injured or killed in the ring, even through TNA negligence, that neither he nor his heirs could not sue the company. Meltzer said he could see why Sean wouldn't want to sign anything like that!"
Guest JesusJuiced Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I wish they had replaced him with Bentley instead of all that Candido brother crap.
Styles Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 Um, yet another version of things from Meltzer's Monday update: --Lots of heat in TNA regarding Sean Waltman. He did arrive in Orlando and was at the hotel in his gear, but hadn't arrived by the start of the show. That commentary last night was meant as a burial and I don't expect him back, but then again, when you look at Jeff Hardy, you can never be sure.

While Waltman has some value, it's not nearly on the level of Jeff Hardy, which is why putting up with Jeff Hardy is worth doing. WWE put up with Hardy's lateness and no-showing for years until they finally got fed up with his inconsistant willingness to clean himself up.
Styles Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Um, or maybe not? Again from Meltzer: A correction on Alan Wojcik's coverage of TNA Unbreakable. Sean Waltman was not at the hotel after the show. Waltman never arrived after leaving for the show and as of last word, still had not been found.
2GOLD Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 You know, this is sounding more and more like police need to be involved. Where the fuck is he? Has anyone heard from him or has he just fallen off the face of the Earth?
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Maybe he tried to eat Chyna out and her man-clit swallowed him up.
Downhome Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Maybe he slipped into the same black hole that captured Chavo Sr. a while back.
ChrisMWaters Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 He's probably just hanging out with his friends Lightning Kid, The Kid, The 1-2-3 Kid, Syxx, Syxx-Pac, and X-Pac.

krease Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 This is like a game of "Where's Waltman?" Is he at the show?...Nope Is he in the hotel?...Nope, not there either
Guest MrBriggs Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 He's probably just hanging out with his friends Lightning Kid, The Kid, The 1-2-3 Kid, Syxx, Syxx-Pac, and X-Pac. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I believe the Cannonball Kid and the Kamikaze Kid were with him as well.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 The Torch website is saying Waltman has shown up at the house of a family member.
Guest MikeSC Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Happy stories never start like that.
