This show continues to rule all. The lack of Rory-Lorelai interaction was obviously done to give the audience an off-kilter feel. Their lives are off Kilter, and with no banter between mother and daughter, the whole show feels that way. The Palladino's are friggin' amazing...The writing is top Notch... My favorite quote of the night was

Luke: "Where are we gonna go?"

Lorelai (without missing a beat) "Funkytown"

Luke and Paris had never met?

They've met before, but I don't think they were ever officially introduced to each other.

They met in Season 2, when Paris visited Stars Hollow to do a story for the school paper. Paris went into Luke's and started questioning him about drugs and prostitution. Moments later, Luke told Rory to get Paris out of the diner.

I've gotta work harder on that voodoo curse I've placed on Rudo.

Don't worry buddy, we can rebuild your manhood. We have the technology.

You will succumb to the darkside. Bank on it. It's only a matter of time. I give you 4 weeks before you're totally seduced though I heavily suspect you're a closet fan already. All signs indicate so.

The coolest thing for me about this show is that some of the back and forth conversation is how I sometimes talk with one of my friends.

Awesome.

Michel greeting Emily was FANTASTIC. I laughed really, really, really hard when he said the "woof" line.

Babette was stellar. Throughout the whole thing. The twister line, her holding her boobs while running... seriously, who knew Sally Struthers kicked so much ass?

Lukes response to the proposal was perfect. I don't like how the town is down on it, though. As a Luke Danes fan, it hurts me that he couldn't have his big moment.

The "You can't kill him yet, we're in a court room" was classic.

Everything coming around to Kirk eyeing Babette... I am running out of praise words.... tremendous!

Badass Lorelai... another facet of fantawesome from Lauren Graham. I mean, I was shocked by the great Slapstick from her, and now this?! The Michell thing, the not showing up in court, the "acting totally oblivious to Rorys life" and the clothesbasket thing was all so cold blooded.

Looks like Tristan 2.0 is feelin a lil guilty about ruinin Rorys life. I really hope they come down hard on Rory - with her feeling all oppressed and living the life her mother warned (and joked to) her about.

I am so glad I'm watching this season. The second I saw the show I knew the debate was over.

My only problem is...

WHEN DID LUKE BECOME A METROSEXUAL?!

Posted

Oh, and they changed the opening again. I don't want to appear as someone who nitpicks... but I miss the daisy dukes/run down the stairs part.

And Lauren Grahams hair wasn't so great.

Come to think of it, all this bad stuff is adding up. Horrible show. Just Horrible. Never watching it again.

And I forgot all about the Bikers! Michell being freaked by it and then Lorelai following suit was gold.

Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn't talk about LUKE DANES SEXY (in a completely heterosexual guy way) CHEST. Oh my lawad, I was about to get the vapours just watchin him in bed *fans self*.

God Dammit I missed it last night, my galpal's uncle who lives with her and her grandma doesn't go to bed until like 9 so we could watch it and my fucking vcr is shot so I can't tape it. I love this show and Lauren Graham is a Goddess.

RRR likes to say there are no annoying characters on GG but there is. Liz. Always couldn't stand her and she's showing why right now

This episode was a little slower but still was great nontheless and the ending was just downright cold.

Dude, I've said Lane and her mom are annoying.  My lane hate knows no bounds.

I kinda like Liz, and TJ is god.  He's in ESCROW!

TJ is indeed god. Tonight is proof of this.

Ok, I hate Liz too.

TJ is the MAN, though. Him giving Luke the "OK" gesture with his hand was hilarity.

I love reading this thread before I watch the 10:00 showing, cause the stuff about Cocoa and "That Mp3 Device" had me confused, and then when I saw it in play... awesome. The first thing Rory should say whenever she sees the dog is "You replaced me with a dog?!" Paul Anka in the jeep and Lorelais reaction... great animal/human stuff... is there anything Lauren Graham can't do?

So, what are the odds Lorelai and Rory get back together in Episode 4? Going by the Max/Wedding thing, I think that's about right. Speaking of Max, some nice tributes to their season 2 engagement, with Max wanting to take two lives and merge them, and there's Luke just wanting to be a part of Lorelais. I am TRYING to incorporate the Luke Danes Goodbye Hand Gesture into my everyday life, but it's HARD dammit.

I like the lil bits of intrusion into Rorys life from her grandparents.

And the award for Best Bra in a Dramatic Series: Alexis Bledel.

..damn Emmys.

It's weird having so few of the satellite characters in this one - Sookie and Mrs. Patty were about it.

And didn't Lorelais interaction with Paul Anka seem awfully similar to Kirks interaction with Kirk?

The Star Wars stuff was great, especially in knowing that Luke is a Trekkie. The "Hole" and "TJ" bit was hilarious, especially with Lorelai poke holes in Lukes plan to murder TJ.

As for the rabbit that died....

Last week the cold war heated up when Lorelai and Rory collided. No doubt both women are fuming after their bitter exchange of words. Tonight, will these two former best friends reconcile, or will the battle between mother and daughter be taken to a whole new level? Find Out, TONIGHT, on Raaaa.... GILMORE GIRLS~!

Pffft. WWE wishes Raw could be half as entertaining as GG.

Michel: "She called me Canadian."

Posted

"I wasn't being blue!"

Rory is independently happy and dependently miserable and it's going to keep getting worse over the next few weeks.

Also, in sort of a pouty moment, they did not show Luke giving Lorelai the ring he got from Kirk. I was hoping that would open the episode or at least there would be some acknowledgement of it.

Paul Anka rules.
