Guest TheDon Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 The Yankees need pitching. They really should go after Jeff Weaver this offseason. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> After that walkoff homerun he gave up in game 4 of the 2003 World Series? Are you kidding me? Yankee fans would kill him if he ever put on the pinstripes again.
Guest TheDon Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 This is what the Yankees need. A new catcher, CF and some relief pitching. With Bernie and Kevin Brown coming off the books Yankees are going to have some money to play with.
Precious Roy Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Why don't you watch the fucking game instead of trying to fantasy book next year's team

Its also not his fault Torre brought him in instead of Rivera.
Precious Roy Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 good point, why is the Sox field in such shitty condition? I don't trust Leiter in this situation...deep breaths....
mike546 Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Hasn't the Sox infield always been considered shitty?
Precious Roy Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 8 STRAIGHT BALLS! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?!!!?!!
BruiserKC Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Exactly. Whoever made those tiebreaker rules were on crack. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Probably the same folks that do the tiebreakers in the NFL...or maybe they also moonlight on the side working on the BCS?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 1, 2005 Author Report Posted October 1, 2005 Again, explain to me what is wrong with these tiebreaker rules, and how you would make them better.

Though Al, if the Yankees were to resign Weaver, I would love to see him allowed back on here just to see his reaction to it...
mike546 Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 I cannot remember a game where an ump was so biased towards the home team. I uasually don't say much about umping, but tonights has been so obviously unfair, I think an 9 year old would have noticed.
Guest TheDon Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Yankees are going to need a big top of the ninth. I really dont want to see Jorge complain. He has the worst eye in baseball. He swings at balls in the dirt and then takes close pitches. Great outing by Proctor a very good sign. That Ventura for Crosby and Proctor could end up being a pretty good trade for the Yankees. 2 role players for Ventura.

Do you even watch the games?
Guest TheDon Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Joe can you please stop batting Ruben Sierra he is horrible.
Guest TheDon Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 What are the odds that Jeter or Arod hit a homerun???
Guest Fishyswa Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Yet if he got a hit you'd say he's the greatest pinch hitter in the game. LETS GO JETER!!!
mike546 Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Not the Yankees fault they had to swing at everything. The ump really did change the face of this game.
Guest Fishyswa Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Tits. I should of known all of these games would end up being important.
Guest TheDon Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 For the Yankees to lose only 5-3 after playing so horrible in the game it isn't that bad and leaves some positives for the rest of the series. Thankfully Posada sits tommorow and hopefully Sierra joins him on the pine. As far as you AL. I have watched pretty much every Yankee game on televison since 1993. Posada has a horrible eye. He might walk alot but when he swings at balls in the dirt today and takes close pitches I am going to question him.
the max Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 I can think of...oh say 25 teams that would take Posada. Even with the worst eye in the majors. He's always up in OBP and hits with good power and for average. Take out your anger on the home plate umpire, the fact that they decided to stop pitching to Ortiz too late or that their defense let them down. But not on Posada.

You don't place 15th in the league in walks without a good batting eye. It's hard to believe a guy like Posada who plays in NY and has three titles can be underrated, but he is.
Fökai Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 With Bernie and Kevin Brown coming off the books Yankees are going to have some money to play with. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> STEINBRENNER HAS A BUDGET?!?
