Dangerous A Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 Man, after an extended abscence, I bring to you two shows within a week. If you haven't heard the first show, go download the excellent conversation/interview I had with TSM's own HTQ aka Hunter's Torn Quad. http://Radio.TheSmartMarks.com Which brings me to the new show. I have another guest who is also a prominent poster and personality here at TSM, none other than... The Dames!!! Dames and I hit on a number of topics, including... TNA Impact on Spike ROH Stuff WWE quick hitters (Warrior, Bret, etc) TSM history as well as his take on more than a few posters, mods, and other internet personalities as well as himself. Please send feedback for the shows here. Also, if you want the feedback or questions you have to be addressed on the next show to be more personal, you can send it to me at [email protected] and I'll make sure that HTQ and/or Dames gets the feedback. Enjoy, children!
Guest Fook Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 Two shows in a week? Are you feeling alright DA?
Guest Coffey Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 Gotta make up for the month long absence. I'm listening right now. Dames is making a great guest. The audio is A LOT more clear this week, although there's some static when you switch back and forth in the beginning. The show needs more vulgarity. EDIT: Now Dames is starting to break up. Hey, I watched the Ghost Whisperer too! At least that's the station I turned it too after the baseball game was over. Yeah, it wasn't very good. It was kinda retarded. To steal a line from Dave Attell though, those titties ain't retarded!
bob_barron Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 Good show, and I'm not just saying that because I got mentioned.
CheesalaIsGood Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 Dames was a good guest. This was a good episode.
Guest Coffey Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 I heard you say that you didn't have any problems with HBK laying down to Hogan to keep Hogan looking strong for his Wrestlemania match, which allegedly, will be against Austin. I did have problems with it. Why? Because it didn't help the future any. The way I see it, Hogan/Austin is going to draw on name value alone. Regardless of whom looks strong and whom doesn't. It's Austin & Hogan. The biggest stars of their generation. HBK should've won to make HIM look more credible. Then he could've LOST to Masters to actually give him a rub instead of going over Masters as a "thank you" for laying down to Hogan. Masters, although some might not like him, is going to be around longer than HBK, Austin & Hogan. That's the way I see it.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted September 30, 2005 Report Posted September 30, 2005 It was a good episode. My favorite part was you asking Dames his opinion on various posters.
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Stop saying "interesting", "interesting, interesting", and "that's interesting". Basically, stop saying the word "interesting" at all.
Guest Fook Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 On the contrary, keep saying it. Make it your catchphrase.
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Like a Michael Cole catchphase? Bacause that's what it's becoming.
admin Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 I thought the show was really intresting....
Darthtiki Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Other than the audio glitches, the show was one of the best so far. The A-Game was brought by both and I can't wait to hear more guests on the show.
Team Angle Pusher Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Annoying background noices when DA talks.
Dangerous A Posted October 1, 2005 Author Report Posted October 1, 2005 Stop saying "interesting", "interesting, interesting", and "that's interesting". Basically, stop saying the word "interesting" at all. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Interesting, FBTG, very interesting. In all seriousness, good catch. I didn't really notice it until I heard the interview all the way through the second time. Obviously became my crutch word since I was a little nervous and all. I'm not trained you know! But I'll try to be mindful of this kind of thing from now on. Annoying background noices when DA talks. That's my cruddy mic acting up. I still haven't ponied up the jack to get a good mic (or at least a new one from the old Aiwa karaoke mic I'm now using) Hopefully I can get a new mic and cut down on some of the static.
KingPK Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Gee Dames, way to sound like a slobbering fanboy when JLH is brought up. At least keep yourself professional, boy. (For the record, if I was on and Lacey Chabert was brought up, I probably would have done the same) Otherwise, good show from you guys.
The Dames Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Oh come on. Like you wouldn't put her over. Did you watch Ghost Whisperer this AND last week? Huh? Huh? Dames
bob_barron Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 I hate you for watching Ghost Whisperer. The fact that that show is #1 in its timeslot, and JOA is cancelled just makes me angry. Again....Amber Tamblyn>JLH.
The Dames Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 HOLD UP..... Ghost Whisperer was # 1 in its timeslot!?!? I was almost POSITIVE that the show would be canceled midseason, but I'm a faithful JLH fan and I'll wait til the show is DONE. I watched Time of Your Life and Garner sure as hell made a better career move than JLH did since. Dames
bob_barron Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 The trio of "Ghost Whisperer" (households: 7.4/14, #2; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2), "Threshold" (households: 5.7/10, #4; adults 18-49: 2.3, #5) and "NUMB3RS" (households: 7.6/14, #1; adults 18-49: 3.2, #1) powered CBS (households: 6.9/12, #1; adults 18-49: 2.7, #1) to victory once again on Friday. Compared with last week, "Ghost" duplicated its household numbers but was down 10.34% in adults 18-49 (households: 7.4/13, #1; adults 18-49: 2.9, #T2) That's better then Joan of Arcadia did last year. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!
The Dames Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There is NOTHING wrong with JLH fans! .... Or her breasts. Dames
bob_barron Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Watch Medium or something. I wanted nothing more then to see Ghost Whisperer fall flat on its face since I'm still angry about JOA's cancellation and Les Moonves' comment. (A girl talking to dead people skews younger then a girl talking to God) But no, people really are stupid. Dames should be banned. Shit, watch What I Like About You or something... Amber and Amanda Bynes>JLH.
Angle-plex Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 I wasn't drunk and this post didn't happen....
The Dames Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Watch Medium or something. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Man, I didn't even KNOW Medium existed until after JLH came out with her ripoff. Just like her "Wedding Planner" idea was canned after J.Lo came out with hers. She really needs to get her ideas out faster. If she fails, she fails. I'll be RIGHT HERE to pick her up and give her what she needs to continue. Some lovin'. Dames
bob_barron Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Dames, in I Still Know...., how many times did you pause it during the tanning scene?
The Dames Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 I own the movie... Not for the breasts, but it sure helped. Granted, not for the movie either, but JLH was in her prime then. Dames
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Interesting, FBTG, very interesting. In all seriousness, good catch. I didn't really notice it until I heard the interview all the way through the second time. Obviously became my crutch word since I was a little nervous and all. I'm not trained you know! But I'll try to be mindful of this kind of thing from now on. Cool, thanks. That was the only thing that annoyed me about the show, otherwise I liked it.
Guest Coffey Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Did you watch Ghost Whisperer this AND last week? Huh? Huh? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. No, I didn't. Advantage (?) you, I guess.
KingPK Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Hey, I just realized something. Dames actually pronounced my last name correctly. Well, one out of 20 isn't bad (most people pronounce it "Costa" or "Kos-TI-ca").
The Dames Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 ...I do pay attention, you know. Dames
