Houston vs Boston

Clemens etc...

My vote is Houston vs. New York. If it happens they'll be just as much Clemens talk as there would be against Boston, only they'd have Andy Petite to bring up too.

Difference in knowing everything and knowing who the fuck is in which league....MAJOR DIFFERENCE. Though my vote is for White Sox/Cardinals. I don't want to see White Sox get swept. Well they will, but at least hopefully not on the biggest stage.

Astros and White Sox would surely result in my passing. I don't like the Cardinals, but it's tough to HATE them when they did all this without so many key pieces. Some teams would have you think that once you lose a couple of pieces, you're allowed to lose.

Any combination of NY, St Louis and Houston, really

Though while I have nothing against the Angels, I imagine I'll get rather annoyed when the announced keep having to put over the stupid name of "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Greater Orange County of Southern California in the Entire State of California in the SE US of the Western Hemisphere on Planet Earth inside the Milky Way Because We Hope if We Continually Emphasize Our Location Which Certainly Isn't The City of Anaheim That Maybe People Will Equate Us On the Same Level As That Blue Team On The Other Side of The City That Isn't Anaheim, So Please Refer to Us as The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of..." and so on

However, at least if they win this year we won't have to see Michael Eisner in a too-small Mickey Mouse shirt

Yankees vs. anyone gets my vote. Although it's be quite funny to see the Yankees in the World Series, since it would surely result in Steinbrenner continuing to overpay for players and ignore key holes in his team, and one of these years they're going to go 65-97 with that approach and I'll laugh my ass off.

Yankees v. Astros since I wouldn't want either team winning.

If the World Series doesn't have Boston or Atlanta, I probably won't watch though.

I'd only be truly content with seeing the Braves, Cards, Padres facing the Red Sox in the series. I loathe every other AL team, and can't stand the Astros.

There is not a SINGLE desirable WS meeting at all.

The only team I don't *dis-like* or even flat out hate, is St. Louis and I could care less about the Cardinals.

Houston has Roger Clemens and...Um...You get the point. A shitty franchise and shitty owners that stupidly pretend the WC means something.

Atlanta has a bunch of a rookies, that's cute but it's the braves, Why would anyone waste their time getting behind the choke artist team? At least this time they are expected to lose so it's not as bad.

San Diego is an embarassment and I'd love Bud Selig get embarassed... but not to piss on the meaning of the WS trophy.

New York and Boston? Now that Boston won the WS and killed "the curse" that never existed, tell me the difference between the two teams?

Anaheim? An horrible baseball city that can't even decide what city it plays for.

Chicago? A star-less team that virtually tripped into the playoffs..

FOX is hoping for Stl. Vs NYY as it would likely be the best ratings draw but it feels like we'll get Houston/Anaheim instead.

I'll pay attention but I won't care who goes to the WS.

Angels/Padres

So. Cal WS that the rest of the country wont care about just like the last time the Angels were in the WS vs the Giants except this time it wont have Barry Bonds and Dusty Bakers little kid.

White Sox/Padres would be right up there too.

Sweeping a prospective Wild Card team in the final weekend is tripping into the playoffs?

I wouldn't mind White Sox vs Padres though just so I can go to their games when they go to San Diego.

New York? Been there, done that. Boston? Pass. Los Angeles? I wouldn't mind them at all actually.

Houston? For Lidge, perhaps. St. Louis? Mark Mulder is the man, though I'd pass. San Diego? Well I do live in San Diego, so I'd like to go to a WS game. Atlanta? No.

I want Braves and Red Sox, m'self. I like the Red Sox, though I got to the "enough is enough" point, I'll admit, after Sawxamania ran wild. And I respect the Braves for pulling it off year after year with the best organization in sports from top to bottom. Nobody does it better. I like Smoltz, Hudson, the Joneses, and Francoeur well enough; I wish them the best.

But yeah I cannot stomach Cardinals-White Sox, or Astros-White Sox. Like Chong said, at least the Cards run a tight ship and earn their spot. The Astros are just annoying as fuck and should go away, with their "CHEER RIGHT NOW!" signs, their 300-foot left field fence, that stupid choo-choo train, their bajillion uniform variations, amazin' leanin'-in Craig Biggio, Fat Rodge, pyro-palooza, and everything else that is reprehensible about the Astros. That's not even taking into account the extra chunk of suck that comes from having Texans as fans. Oh yes. I went there.

They could have a bring your dog to the ballpark day during the world series. That'd be gold.

The one with the grass patch in right center where you can sit on! And they have a sandbox for the little ones!

There isn't a single WS scenario that I could hate, honestly. I have absolutely no emotional attachement to any team in the postseason this year. But October baseball is always exciting so I'll be there.

I'm just happy my team won't be able to collapse in October for like the 5th year in a row and that neither LA or Oakland is in the playoffs.
