KingPK 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2005 Well, this certainly was interesting. I did the best I can trying to make sense of these changes in plans and everything. Ignoring the DRAWMUH for a second, congrats to Parka for winning the title. The Love Shack was a hoot once again.
Tony149 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2005 As PK said, this week's show was definitely interesting. The opening interview was right out of Vince Russo's reality booking era. While I believe Russo was onto something, like the Edge/Lita/Matt Hardy triangle, the execution was poor. The promo itself was very well-written, but I felt the insider references should of been kept out. That could've been handled in a much better way than breaking kayfabe on what's supposed to be a live show. It left the others scrambling to make sense out of a chaotic situation, and Zack and the gang did a tremendous job. Honorable mentions to Popick and PK. Popick for stopping the bleeding, and PK for doing a helluva job maintaining continuity during the Alf-Calvin backstage segment. I thought for sure we had let one slip by with Calvin appeared after he was supposed to be held up in his office. Fortunately we did not. The matches themselves were all good. Now that we've lost two of our big singles stars, the women's and tag divisions become even more important to the OAOAST. I thought Zack liked Shane Douglas and Brian Pillman, because he sure was channeling Sting in the backstage segment with PK, if you know what I mean. Though his promo later on was one of those which make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Yeah it's engaging in a pissing contest, but emotions were running high. Higher than a eagle. I'll be honest with you, I marked out for Brodie's ambush on Ashley. Don't know why, I just did. Funny bit with Matthews using his "cutting-edge technology" to listen in to the conversation between PK & Cal. HeldDown became SmackDown when Dan used the ropes for leverage to get the 1-2-3. Congrats to Parka for becoming the new HI-YAH World Champion. The Love Shack wasn't as good as last week's show, but it was still fun to read. Great lines throughout. King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2005 The Love Shack wasn't as good as last week's show, but it was still fun to read. Great lines throughout. Yeah, I think I kinda peaked too soon with Zack as first guest. Basically, I'm not sure where I'm going with the O'Hara character yet except that he's a Jack Evans rip-off in the ring. So that was more of a tester segment. Other than that, good stuffs all round which can masquerade as feedback until if and when I give actual beefback. KingPK 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2005 PRL, your stuff is edited in. The continuity was a bit tough to manage, so that's why I added the little thing with PK coming out of the office so it could be assumed Calvin left his office to tell PK he wanted to talk to him about something. I didn't want to mess with Alf's stuff too much. I was thinking about putting PRL/Black as the main, but Parka's winning was a nice capper on a wild show, I think. Hoff 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 Zack didn't do "damage control;" he took unfounded shots at me. At no point did I "spit" on the World Title; in fact, I put it over and apologized for my actions and absence. What Zack said didn't make sense from a storyline standpoint, and here I'm the bastard for breaking kayfabe. But hey, I guess when you're the "boss," you can get away with whatever you damn well please. At least I don't have to worry about Mr. Malibu replying to this, since that'd require posting in a feedback thread. I hope the rest of you know that I do appreciate what a cool group you've been over the past couple years, and it's been fun working with you all. Peace. Hoff 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 And by the way, congrats Parka. I thought it was a really good, fast-paced match with a lot of dramatic spots. So whoever wrote that, Parka, KC, or both, well done.
