Yeah I agree with you there on the UCLA game, but definitely not with the Colorado-Texas game. I think UCLA and Texas both come out with the win tommorrow.

That's the fun of college football. Anything can happen, and it always happens when you least expect it. I don't think Colorado has half the talent that Texas has, but it seems like a trap game with Jamaal Charles hurt.

UCLA hasn't beaten Washington State in their last 4 meetings, and UCLA hasn't left Southern California all season.

How can an Oklahoma fan possibly complain about another team getting too much media love? You guys were supposed to be the "Greatest team ever" for the past 3 or so years.

Notre Dame is still far more overhyped than anyone, and it's been kicked into high gear this week.

Fuck this ND-USC game. I wish there were ties again so they'd both drop down the rankings. But, then again, they'd probably raise ND up the rankings for it. Like that year they lost to Nebraska in OT, and went UP.

I hate this constant "Notre Dame is special! And you don't understand if you didn't go there!" shit.

It's like the stupid bullshit I heard in Catholic high school. These people need to be tortured. Fuck Lou Holtz and his creepy fucking face.

I don't know. I can't help thinking that Notre Dame might win tomorrow. We know the Irish players are going to believe in the mystique, and if the Trojan players start believing it, even a little bit, they're done.

With Cal losing to UCLA, this is probably going to be the toughest test the Trojans face the entire regular season, and it just seems unlikely for anyone to go wire-to-wire two years in a row.

I picked USC in Bored's contest, and if I had to wager my life savings on one team straight up, it would probably still be USC. However, I think this game will be extremely close, and it could definitely go either way.

I'd predict a final score of something like

USC 38

Notre Dame 37

I think the first half is going to be Notre Dame being incredibly fired up, and playing it really tight, maybe even taking control at points. A halftime score like 14-10 or 17-14 in favor of ND wouldn't shock me. Then, Pete Carroll is going to adjust brilliantly like this team does every time, and take it comfortably by at least a touchdown.

Please. They didn't start saying that about OU until the end of the 2003 season. Then once OU lost to KSU it was "Well nevermind. They suck ass. USC!" and then the USC hype started and hasn't ended since then.

I'm pretty worried about the USC-ND game. I'm hoping ND doesn't bring out the green uniforms for obvious reasons. I think ND will be up 21-10 at half when Pete Carroll makes adjustments AGAIN and they win.

Yes, when you haven't lost for 2 1/2 years in my opinion you do get as much hype as you can get. It is two-fold too though because the media knows how big of a story it will be when they lose.

The Oklahoma pimping was in high gear but was justifiably scrapped after the 1-2 punch of the Kansas St. ass kicking and then the loss to LSU in the Sugar Bowl. I didn't argue them being in the title game over USC though since there was really no better option (USC had 1 loss as well).

By the way is USC really going for a 3 peat? I mean isn't LSU considered the national champion for 2003? I know USC finished 1st in one of the polls but does that really count as a national title?

This Notre Dame stuff needs to stop. I've never seen a team climb from NOWHERE on the polls to top ten for beating a team that I could barely make a case for having in the top 25. ND beats Michigan and suddenly half the nation is on their knees praying to touchdown Jesus.

Can they beat USC? Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it. If you stop Bush, you have to stop White. If you stop Leinart, you have to stop Bush. There is no way in hell you are going to stop all three of them.

Seriously is Mark May being paid by USC? I mean if anyone brings up the slightest criticism of USC he goes into that high pitched fast talk mode and vehemently defends them until he's blue in the face. And then he turns into a smarmy sarcastic asshole and starts declaring that USC will destroy their opponent.

What is this guys deal?

Yes, but you have to sacrifice your high-powered passing attack to have a good defense.

Anyway, I hope Tech never changes because they're fun in football video games, and I love their home uniforms.

This makes no sense whatsoever. How is making the offense worse going to help their defense. If anything, it should help them recruit on the defensive side of the ball, and improve their defense in the long run.

I think he may be trying to say, and I'm just guessing, that if you have a high powered passing offense that scores quickly then the defense spends more time on the field and gets tired easier thus making them worse.

I say just hire yourself a Navy Seals or Army Ranger drill sgt. to do your strength and conditioning! Then they'll never tire out!
