I'd say it's over now.

Anyways, watching the highlights on NFL Primetime today, and good god, the Saints got FUCKED the hell over today against the Falcons.

Well, this was a pretty boring week of football. Doesn't figure to get any better with the primetime games being Houston-Seattle and Rams-Colts tommorrow night.

Now, maybe it's just me, but this football season hasn't well, really gotten me that excited. There's very few teams I have any real fun watching this year. Here's the few (besides my favorite team, of course, but of course watching them is extremely frustrating):

I love watching New England always hang in there towards the end of their games, despite all the odds. They're proof that you can have no excuses when it comes to injuries to key players or tough opposition, when they can still hang in most of their games and often times, win.

Cincinatti and Jacksonville are great teams with awesome quarterbacks, great defenses, and fiery coaches. I like seeing the resurgence of the Redskins and Bucs in the NFC, hell how about the whole NFC East (except for the Giants, who never cease to bore me).

And, of course, living in Miami, I'm usually stuck with Jets, Giants, or Dolphins games. Yuck.

Yet beside today, they were leading the NFL in scoring, averaging 34 points per game.

How is that boring?

Baseball was several notches down from 03 and 04, so we're suffering together. This stinker of an October is really jeopardizing The Great Baseball Renaissance, and I wouldn't be shocked if the ratings are a fraction of what they had last year and year before.

We're due for a kick-ass NBA season, then.

At this rate we could wind up with an Indy-Denver AFC title game

...which would probably mean Mr. AwShucks going to the SB...

Sorry, the Giants just aren't a very interesting team to me, just like I'm sure Green Bay and others aren't very interesting to a whole lot of other people as well.

I'd hope so, except that it's all too obvious who the dominant teams in each conference is (San Antonio and Miami).

And funny enough, it's just this season. I don't know if it's just because my team really sucks this year along with the rest of its division or not, but the Lakers sucked last year and I still enjoyed the NBA, not to mention Green Bay sucked it up at the beginning of the year the last couple years as well.

Slayer, wouldn't the horrible, unspeakable irony for the Colts be if they finally beat the Pats in the playoffs and then lost the AFC title game to Denver (the team they have annihilated the past two years)?

The Broncos will come back down to earth a bit. I'm predicting 11-5 or so, slightly up from their usual boring 10-6 post Elway years.

Colts/Bengals is a fun AFC title game prospect. As far as the NFC goes, I have no utter idea. It's like a whole conference of mediocre 3-2 teams.

So who will Houston take with the first overall pick?

They don't need a QB and taking Bush is equally pointless. I'd just trade that spot to a team who's dying for QB and get as many draft spots to bolster the line. We've been saying "bolster the front line" since the fucking draft expansion but they dont listen it seems.

Reggie Bush is headed to SF.

On a selfish personal note, thanks for fuckin' nothing Patriots! If you weren't going to play Dillon, label him "out" on the injured list so I can bench his ass and put someone else in!

Sorry, but losing by 1 point when my backup gets 10 and is sitting on the bench because everyone is saying that Dillon will still play all the way up to kickoff has gotten me pissed off.

After all the injuries and defensive futility to start the season, I'll take 3-3 and run with it. Today showed that they just don't throw in the towel no matter what the score. Now they have two weeks to get guys healthy and work on the defense (Starks is absolutely useless).

I wouldn't want to be Buffalo right now (or more specific, Kelly Holcumb).
