Guest Finch Report post Posted October 17, 2005 The Angels sucking cost them the series, the Sox just took advantage and pitched like crazy
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 17, 2005 You have to tag with the ball-hand? I never knew that... I thought you just had to have the ball in possession <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The ball has to be in the hand you tag them with. So in your glove if you tag them with the glove. mike546 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 The White Sox starting pitchers have pitched 43 and 1/3 out of the total 44 innings played in this series, with a chance for four straight complete games. Unreal.
Guest Finch Report post Posted October 17, 2005 I have never seen four straight complete games from a pitching staff in the regular season and they have done this in the ALCS. Insane!

Guest Brian Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Well, if you see the replay, the ump was watching Kennedy to make sure he had the ball and didn't see it trickle away.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 17, 2005 The SOX bullpen is going to be pretty well rested for the WS.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 So the White Sox are going to the WS... *tumbleweeds blow through*
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Ugh, this means Chicago White Sox, Houston Astros or St. Louis Cardinals will hoist the WS trophy. Is there a re-set button I can press to start this season over?
mike546 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 The Sox bullpen faced two batters. Amazing.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Worse yet, the Astros or White Sox are likely to hoist the trophy. White Sox made a lot of people look foolish.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Tremendous accomplishment for the Chicago White Sox. First pennant for them and for the city as a whole since 1959, as I am sure you have all heard. I do think fans will get behind this team. It's a nice story. Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 17, 2005 I'm shocked there were no "Why is Ozzie overusing his starters?!" constroversy. Usually sports radio idiots like to think a pitcher going complete game is a bad thing.
iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 The White Sox are just fucking dominating.
Big McLargeHuge 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Ratings jokes aside, I've never seen a pitching staff dominate so thoroughly in a series. Incredible. Congrats to the Sox.
Guest Finch Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Yeah, pitchers go 6 IP and that's a good start. The complete game is a dinosaur

Usually sports radio idiots like to think a pitcher going complete game is a bad thing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Buehrle threw just 99 pitches, and none of the others threw more than 120. Given that the ChiSox now have five days of rest, I think there's no cause for concern.

Usually sports radio idiots like to think a pitcher going complete game is a bad thing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They didn't throw that many pitches. Contreras threw 114, Garcia 118, Garland 118, Buherle 99. This is all after a week where neither of them started.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Not issuing walks was clearly a key factor that allowed the Sox starters to go the distance. Regardless of who represents the NL, the WS is going to be a ridiculously unpredictable story. Still, I think the Sox have the best chance to win it all. They've shown they can score ample runs when needed and hit with RISP. As much as it saddens me to see this happen, I can't deny how much it's deserved. I just won't take the mute off any Sox telecast in 2006.
