New Triple H dvd?

I thought I read on here awhile ago that the WWE was planning on releasing a big 3 disc HHH dvd around the same time as the release date of the newest Undertaker dvd?

 

Is it being delayed? Or has the WWE figured out that most people wouldn't really fork over the cash for a career(so far) retrospective of HHH?

I think a 3-disc could be done well.

 

Disc 1: D-X Era

 

Disc 2: The Game Era

 

Disc 3: Return/Evolution Era

 

A lot of Disc 2 will have already been covered, so I would make sure to have some different matches, and new interviews.

 

Disc 1 should definitely go over the D-X vs. The Nation feud in detail, including the parody skit.

 

Disc 3 has not been covered and they have a lot of stuff to cover.

It wasn't on "The Game" or "That Damn Good." I'm not sure if it was on a Foley disc, though.

 

I wonder if a "Hell in a Cell" DVD would sell? If they just mentioned Bossman/Taker as not being that good (yet paying tribute to the late Ray Traylor at the same time), and had Kennel in a Cell (with alternate commentary) as an extra, the rest should make an above average DVD.

Bloodbath Steel Cage volume 2 would be nice if it included: Hell in a Cell, Elimation Chamber, Wargames, and classic 80s cage matches. But most of the better HIAC matches were released on the Undertaker or Foley videos.

I do remember a while back it was reported WWE were planning a Triple H DVD (multi-disc set this time) and a Ladders Match DVD. The former I'd get if it had HIAC vs Cactus, JDay2000 vs Rock, and vs HBK from RAW. The latter is harder to figure out since most of the great/important ladder matches are on numerous DVDs already, but Hart vs HBK, Razor vs HBK II, Triple H vs Rock, and E&C vs Hardys (first RAW on Spike TV) would be great to have on a DVD set.

He'd just won the title from Jericho at WMX8, and was in the middle of his awful 2002 face run.

"The Game" ended with Triple H's win over Jericho at WM18. They didn't show a lot from his return to WM18.

 

Not sure where "That Damn Good" left off, but it came out not long after "The Game." Needless to say, both were way before Evolution, and even Summerslam 2002.

"That Damn Good" ends with the Wrestlemania 18 match vs Jericho. I can't remember whether it included the "highlights" of that feud in the form of the hype video WWE would have used to promote the match (which is present for the other five matches on the disc).

 

It does include the footage of his return to WWE after injury in 2002.

HHH vs HBK is the series that the WWE, and probably both HHH and Michaels, want us smartmarks to remember as a series in the same class as Steamboat/Flair,Bret/Owen, Austin/Rock, etc, but the majority of opinions is the series flat out sucks. Other than the Raw match in December of 03, and possibly the overrated SS 02 match, I can't think of any matches of their's that eclipse *** or are near that barrier. The HIAC is painfully slow and boring, and the Armageddon 3 stages of hell was complete, and utter shite.

My point is, just because YOU think they suck, doenst mean everyone agrees with you. See, this is a perfect example of the IWC bias against HHH. All of his matches with Benoit and HBK blow any cruiserweight match out of the water in terms of actual mat skill, yet "D00D HHH Suxx0rz b3c@us3 H is married to steph. He is holding the real talent on Raw down."

Personally, I thought it was a good series that gets shitted on just because it's Triple H vs Michaels, and you know they're not the most beloved men here. Their SSlam match is great, the 3 stages of Hell is mediocre, the december 03 RAW match is perhaps the best of the bunch, Last Man standing was merely ok with a finish that didn't help much (but led to the Mania match), and HIAC I feel is terribly underrated around these parts (surprise, surprise). You could count Taboo Tuesday if you wanted, but that match suffered because of Michaels' inury, although the story of the match revolved around it and made for a nice change of pace. Both 3-ways with Benoit were outstanding but you have another guy factor in the equation so I'm not sure if they count.

 

Granted, it's no Flair/Steamboat or Austin/Rock but still fairly good. A couple key matches from that feud would make a nice addition to a multi-disc DVD if they ever do one (and you KNOW they will, sooner or later.)
