There might be something to that.  The Angels in 2002 were about as boring and whitebread of a team as can be, aside from Garrett Anderson.

 

Nonsense, the most charismatic and dynamic duo of brothers were also on that team in the Molina brothers.

 

Plus you had big bad Barry Bonds on the Giants.

 

That series would have drawn if it wasn't two California teams in it.

Any connections between race and ability are nonsense, and I almost want to say between race and marketing.

 

Someone on a different board pointed out that there are complaints that Neilsen under-samples latino viewers. Given baseball's demographics, that may be an issue with the low ratings. Actual viewership may be higher.

I take it you don't watch the NFL. The number one sport of interest for white men, and a sport in which over 95% of the speed positions, (in fact at one time, 149 out of 150 starting spots) are occupied by blacks.

 

That's nothing to do with marketing. It just means that white people can't run as fast as black people.
