Off the top of my head my favourites are..

 

-- The D.D.P cookie story in Foley's book

 

-- The story in Ric Flair's book how Funk was crawling around naked wearing nothing but the N.W.A title and Flairs wife introducing him that way to her friend.

 

Theres a bunch of others right now that I can't think of cleanly but i'm just putting these out there to get the thread going. What are some of your favourites?

From Dynamite's Book and my memory so they might not be too accurate anymore

 

 

Harley Race is sleeping in bed so Dynamite proceeds to light the bedsheets or something on fire. This causes the water sprinkler to come on and wakes Harley up. Dynamite ends up telling him it's dangerous to be smoking in bed. Kind of forgetting this but it's a great story.

 

Dynamite making a pie with special ingredients when he was over on tour somewhere to get revenge on someone. He wouldn't even say what some of the ingredients were so I imagine it must've been bad. All he could do was sit behind a newspaper shaking as everybody was just kneeling over after eating the pie. He was never invited back.

 

Dynamite talking about how passionate Kobashi was and his refusing to beat Dynamite because the fans would cry.

 

Benoit coming up to Dynamite and telling him he was going to be a wrestler just like him

 

Terry Funk in Japan having everybody momentarily convinced he was dead after purposely getting hit by a car.

 

Terry Funk destroying his room and than calling the police. He tells them he know who did it and leads the police to said person. That person is a half awake Dory Funk Jr. wondering what the world is going on.

In Edge's book, Kurt Angle calling Edge to help him after he took a face plant, blocked by his arm, into the dresser and was bleeding all over the place. And he was naked.

Heenan's book tells lots of Andre the Giant stories, and they're all gold.

 

My favourite one is when Andre's in a bar and refuses to button up his shirt because he felt warm. First the waiter tells him, he refuses. Then the bouncer, followed by the manager. Eventually they call the cops. The officer tells Andre to button up his shirt. Andre refuses so the cop calls for backup. He still refuses to button his shirt, so they go to arrest him. That's when he gets up out of his chair. When they notice how huge he really is, the police sergeant turns to everyone else and says "Y'know, it IS quite warm in here".

The story from Foley's first book about winding up on a gay beach.

 

 

Regal,Austin and Foley go to the beach and Foley runs in to the water while Regal and Austin stay on-shore.

Five minutes later Foley notices their not on shore anymore and once he begins to look around figures out why.

 

So he hauls ass and when he finds Austin and Regal he tells them they left him on a gay beach and Regal makes a comment about their being 'nothing but a bunch of bloody dinner mashers' around.

 

Still like to call ppl dinner mashers every now and again even though no one has ever understood it.

 

 

 

Also the one from when Foley is in Texas and after a show when Chris Adams is teaching a group of guys one of whom is Austin.

Adam's tells the trainees that $1500 for the course may sound like alot of money but once he get's done with them they'll be making that much a night.

In Foley's first book when some promoter called Mick a pussy for blowing a spot and Jeff Jarrett stood up for him telling the promoter to fuck off.

 

The way Foley wrote it was much funnier.

Jeff Jarrett said to the guy, let's call him Randy for the sake i cannot remember the guy's real name, "hey, fuck you Randy, you've never been in the ring!"

 

Foley goes on to say that while he appreciated Jeff standing up for him, he's not a 22-year old rookie anymore, so here it goes...fuck you, Randy, you've never even been in the ring!

 

Foley's got a ton of great stories. My personal favourite is the aforementioned cookie story. That's one of the few stories I've read which had me laughing pretty good.

One thing you learn about Flair in his book is how neurotic and overly sensative he is, like the story about Kevin Sullivan having to carry Flair onto a plane and buckle him in because he was so depressed that his career was going down the tubes. The low self esteem the guy has despite being one of the best and most respected pro wrestlers that ever lived is mind boggling. I know that if I were Ric Flair I NEVER would have let Eric Bischoff shit on me like he did.

I like the story that builds up to this one, where Andre refuses to button his shirt an earlier time, and tells the waiter, "If I cannot show you my chest, I will show you my ass." And then he proceeds to moon the entire restaurant.

-- Foley is at Disneyworld with his wife and kids when Mick spots Mickey Mouse walking around without her helmet on...Mickey spots Mick and the kids and dives behind something for cover, injuring herself in the process.

 

-- In Angle's book where his brothers were involved in an angle with the Dudley Boys and his brothers thinking everything was real starting a real fight. Kurt also tells great stories in the book about how psycho his brothers really are. They were in the crowd at a Raw one night for the first time and nearly beat the shit out of people in the crowd for booing Angle.

I love the story about Flair and Piper rolling around the airport with The Briscos (I think).

I remember that one now. The Brisco's get Piper and Flair royally wasted and bring the 2 outside to play basketball without shoes. They just make Flair and Piper tire each other out and walk off the court.

 

-- Although it's definetly not one of my favourites, there's a disturbing story in that same book about a young Piper being in the locker room when he finds an unsuspecting dick in his hands. That dick belongs to none other than Alfred Hayes.

 

-- Piper tells a weird story about his experience in the steroid trial. He tries to get out of testifying by having a match with Undertaker. He gets taker to tombstone him on the concrete floor and fakes having a seizure. WWF officials drag him back to the hotel and then to Vince who thinks he is too physically unfit to go before the jury and he is obviously faking.

his name was randy, Randy Hales who was the booker there.

 

 

anyhow I agree with all of the stories from foley. teh gay beach one was great, later it wa sthem going out to get dinner and walking down the street and foley says go ahead I have to make a phone call to my wife. he does and and when he leave sthe booth he notices regal and austin both still there and he thought "hey these guys must really like me" then austin blurts out "there are fags everywhere" and reagl replies with the dinnermasehers comment. then foley mentions how they must have looked gay to the gay guys, Regal all tanned and dressed nice and Austin with a tanktop and PINK BICYCLE SHORTS ON

Another one from Angle's book. All the Wrestlers and the Mcmahons are on a plane heading back from England and Vince decides to have a little fun and starts trying to take down Angle everytime he would get up. Both of them would do it throughout the entire flight. At one particular instance The Undertaker woke up and seen Angle on top of Vince. Not knowing what was going on, he went up to Angle and literally choked him out until realizing what was happening. At the end of the same flight Angle tackled Vince, knocking Linda Mcmahon down in the process.

Another funny one from Foley's book was when Foley went for an elbow drop and missed by a mile, Foley was so embarrased and his friend tried to make him feel better by telling him a story about how a guy was in a battle royal a few years ago. Apparently, there were two guys left and one of them started posing to the crowd and apparantly some fan threw a box of popcorn to the back of his head. The wrestler thought it was the other wrestler then proceeded to take a bump over the top rope eliminating himself.

Oh yea Brian Hildebrand told the story, this was after Foley sold a phantom running elbow from Sam Houston. That was a good story actually.

That Randy Hales story is funnier if you were a fan of old school Memphis/USWA stuff and know who he is. He's a really scrawny, tall dude that looks slightly retarded. In other words he had zero business badmouthing anyone's ring efforts.

 

Another Foley story that's funny if you know the guys is his recollection of Eric Embry booking matches in the nude, with his dick in everyone's face in the lockerroom. Then said he was never the same after Robert Fuller came down to Texas and showed everyone why he was the Tennessee Stud, haha.

Randy Hales was in at least 2 brawls in the old TV studio, taken down by the heels, and they seemed to enjoy it (wonder why?). I want to say Heyman, then known as Paul Dangerly or something like that, was managing some midlevel heels there at the time.

Dusty Rhodes Book:

 

Andre and Dusty are at a Franch Brothel in New Orleans and Andre is speaking french with the head whore... lightning takes the lights out, and as Dusty is standing there, he feels a warm liquid hitting his leg. The lights come on and Andre is pissing on Dusty's leg as a rib. Dusty said he stank of "giant piss" the rest of the night.

 

Dick Murdoch ribbed Dusty by taking him to a KKK rally.

 

Flair asked Dusty in 74 if he could name himself "Rambling Ricky Rhodes" and be a "cousin"

 

Dusty is on a parade float for whatever reason and 3 girls come aboard and Dusty kisses two of them, he's about to kiss the 3rd when he realizes all 3 are guys dressed in drag.

From Dynamite's book. When Davey boy asks him for some roids so DK takes two shots up milk and shoots him in the BUTT with them. Then later in the call someone starting going "moooo" and confuses Davey Boy.

 

I love the Castus/Mikey stuff from Foley's book. But I'm such a huge Mikey mark that it's only a given...SEMI RELATED: from Mikey's shoot interview he talks about ideas Foley has. Like Mick saying ECW and the local KFC. Something about hardcore chicken where you'd buy some and get $2 off a ticket. "Imagine it, Mikey. Tommy Dreamer on TV stuffing his face with chicken!"

"Arent those nice kitties Dew?" he asked, knowing Dewey was little and confused his letters alot. Dewey responds with "Nice Titties" causing Mikey to shoot milk out his nose laughing
