Fökai 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 ...or else draft some defensive playmakers, which they could just get through FA deals really. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They have a playmaker, and his name is Dunta Robinson. Honestly, they could use some help at key positions (linebacker, defensive tackle, a faster end), but that's the least of their problems when it comes to the offense. If they can improve their ball control at all, the defense has enough time to be on the sidelines for more than a minute. ---------------------------------------- A look back at last Sunday's team stats... Seahawks: time of possession: 31:33 first downs: 31 (19 rush, 8 pass, 4 penalty) redzone effiency: 6-6 (100%) punts: 1 - 41 net yards passing: 139 net yards rushing: 320 Texans: time of possession: 28:27 first downs: 14 (3 rush, 10 pass, 1 penalty) redzone effiency: 0-0 (0%) punts: 6- 37.5 yds net yards passing: 160 net yards rushing: 67 Goddamn. razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 What the hell makes you think Tony Romo is the future at QB? They definitely need to draft a QB. Romo is a decent player but he's a career backup, IMO. I sat through enough years of shitty QB's since Aikman left. I don't want another year of Quincy Carter/Clint Stoerner/Chad Hutchinson/Ryan Leaf type guys. They need a real damn QB. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jerry Jones only wants A) Minor league baseball players B) Running QB
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 The rate the Ravens are going..they should have a top 5 pick. I dont even want to think about who they'll draft. The writing is on the wall that they won't resign Jamal Lewis. Do they put their faith in Chester Taylor or draft a RB? What about QB? Boller and Wright suck.. teke184 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2005 They need to draft a new RB and plug some holes in the O-Line, as Jamal Lewis is too much of a distraction AND an underperformer to stay, but the new guy won't be much better without decent blocking. As for a QB, Kitna, Volek, or Matt Schaub(?) from Atlanta would be decent enough, as they have done somewhat well with either sub-par teams (Kitna's Bengals, Volek's Titans) or with one that's geared to the Ravens' anemic offense. (Atlanta's offense is run-heavy with Crumper as the only regular receiver. Brian Finneran only gets looks when Schaub is in the game)
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2005 I'd say draft Leinart at #1 and perhaps trade him for a top OL from a team needing a QB, maybe even get an extra draft pick with that. From there draft a good OL with the #2 pick. David Carr should be given a chance when they have a good O line. I personally don't like the guy, but it wouldn't be fair to give up on someone who barely has 2 secs to throw the ball on every play.
