Awesome 1-2-3 punches in albums.

Recommended Posts

Pick any three consecutive songs from any album that make for a great stretch of music.

The Stooges - Fun House: Dirt, 1970, Fun House

Hüsker Dü - New Day Rising: New Day Rising, Girl Who Lives on Heaven Hill, I Apologize

Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here:

Shine on...Parts I-V

Welcome to the Machine

Have A Cigar

Does it have to be tracks 1-2-3, or just 3 good consecutive songs?

If so, the Hip's Up To Here:

Blow at High Dough

I'll Believe In You

New Orleans Is Sinking

If not, The Hip's In Violet Light 3,4,5:

Darkest One

It's A Good Life If You Don't Weaken

Silverjet

Ok, and this is kinda sucky, but any 3 songs on Wish You Were Here.

But I guess I can get away with it, it's 5 songs in length:

1) Shine on I-IV

2) Welcome To The Machine

3) Have A Cigar

4) Wish You Were Here

5) Shine on VI-IX

The Beatles: Revolver. "Taxman," "Eleanor Rigby," and "I'm only Sleeping." Carried mostly by the first two.

Frank Zappa: Zoot Allures: "Wind up Working in a Gas Station," "Black Napkins," and "The Torture Never Stops."

Black Sabbath - Sabotage: Hole In The Sky/Don't Start (Too Late), Symptom of the Universe, and Megalomania

Megalomania is like track 10. Also, Don't Start (Too Late) and Hole In The Sky are two separate tracks, so you listed 4.

Actually Sabotage doesn't even have 10 tracks, the track listing goes like this:

1. Hole In the Sky

2. Don't Start (Too Late)

3. Symptom Of The Universe

4. Megalomania

The only reason I included "Don't Start (Too Late)" is because it's only 49 seconds long, and it connects tracks 1 and 3. I also don't really consider "Embryo" or "Orchid" from Master Of Reality to be seperate tracks from "Children Of The Grave" and "Lord Of This World" respectively.

I like how Sabotage runs together as a whole, actually.
