AndrewTS Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 WWE writers are masters of wit and subtlety.
Vern Gagne Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 They could at least have Rosie join them in an homage to the Chris Farley/Patrick Swayze skit from SNL. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Barney Dick and Adrian Dick
The Niggardly King Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Watch The Dicks In Action! They're actually pretty stiff in this match.
Vern Gagne Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Watch the fun ensue when the Beaver Brothers join the roster.
Placebo Effect Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Someone really needs to tell them (or the agent that laid out the match) that restholds are NOT necessary in five minute tag team squash matches.
Art Sandusky Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Or WWE Special Forces. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dude, the joke is right there. Geez.
Si82 Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Watch The Dicks In Action! They're actually pretty stiff in this match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dear Lord. Please don't give them ideas like that.
cameron chaos Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 One should be called Nick because they are dressed exactly like the guy from the Tom Hanks movie Bachelor Party. Thinking about it, I can see them actually reusing the "Here's your hotdog" bit from the movie with a Diva at some point.
k thx Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 They've been horrible about consistency here. First, they were unknowns, then the nextw eek on SD, Palmer Canonr eferred to them as "The Tolands". 8 days later on Velocity, they were "unknowns" again, then on next week's Velocity, they're "The Dicks", which I mentioned a while back in "Comments Which Don't Warrant a Thread". At least they're sticking with a name for more than a week. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's a little worse than Ken Kennedy, who debuted as "Ken Anderson" one week, and exactly one week later was "Ken Kennedy", and the announcers sold it like this was the first time we had ever seen him prior, despite the fact that he had just beaten Funaki in his debut match on the SAME show just ONE week before. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To be fair, he did a great heel promo in OVW explaining the name switch. Shame they couldn't have done it on Velocity.

Did he change his name because he was leaving OVW and wanted to change his last name to McMahon's middle-name?

King Cucaracha Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 So who says "You don't wanna rub these Dicks up the wrong way" first...Tazz or Cole?
Fro Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 It's sad because the Tolands are a pretty good team (despite being WAY too short for WWE's tastes). And I don't know why they're basically reusing the Heart Throbs' male stripper gimmick for them. The Kennedy promo explaining the name change talked about how he met Vince McMahon and how Vince was his biggest fan, but he said that Ken needed a better name. So he took Vince's middle name in his honor, blah blah blah.
benoit4hor Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 The Fabulous Ones 2005, and I mean FABULOUS.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 The Fabulous Ones 2005, and I mean FABULOUS. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As in Joel Schumacher describing Batman fabulous?
LaParkaYourCar Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Usless info, but did anyone notice that The Dicks theme music sounds an awful lot like a sped up/jazzed up version of Crush's theme music from his bleach blonde days?
