There is talk of using Test for a one shot deal at first.

 

Joe vs Liger was originally slated for 20:00. Even after changing the show around. At about 5:00 in the ref told both guys to go home for reasons unknown. Liger is interested in coming back for 2006 and their is an idea for a potential TV special that he'd be a big part of.

 

Shannon Moore is scheduled to start soon as a heel.

 

Kevin Nash didnt have a heart attack but may of had heart blockage.

Nigel should be a good addition to the roster, as I'm hoping he'll be using his heel character he has right now. I wonder if they are bringing him in cold or if they will build him up.

 

Test? They already have Hoyt. That's a prospect they dont need. He brings nothing to the table.

 

Shannon Moore? Where is Yang and Haas? I don't think Moore can bring anything else other then yet another spot monkey.

Jarrett is the most brillant backstage politician in the history of the wrestling biz. Grab the title, build AMW and 3-D up so they can have a trios match instead of a title shot main event where there would be a slight possibility he would finally lose the belt.

More importantly, it saves the Brown match because it needs more build and hype. Genesis will still be a strong show regardless because the main event angle is pretty hot. It also saves the AMW/3D match.

Well, they did want Kevin Nash to main event it's first SPIKETV era PPV. They do covet the "name" stars. Jeff Hardy is the face of the PPV promotion...

Nothing against Shannon Moore, but there's no reason to bring him in when that spot could be filled with any number of other former WWE guys. Or juniorheavyweights from the indies.

Damn, as soon as I call Lance Hoyt a "Test rip-off", TNA is suddenly in talks with Test for a one-shot match.

 

I hope TNA doesn't hire Test full-time, though.

I don't think there's ANY value in using Test, even once. He won't bring in a crowd of people, doesn't draw for you, won't give you a good match...

 

However, they have said that they were entertaining the possibility before and nothing happened there. Let's hope that trend continues.

TNA always has to god damn 6-man tag matches involving the champion at PPV's. It sucks, but it's nothing unusual.

Just when I think the NWA has a cohesive strategy for where they want to go as a company it looks like they are headed back to the old throw shit at the wall and hope something sticks strategy. Test? Shannon Moore? What's the point exactly? They already have plenty of people who fill these roles. Frankly I think the NWA roster is overcrowded right now mostly do a lack of personalities. They need to develope what they have and make a few key big noise additions not fall trap to the same old WCW policy of bring in as many new guys as you can.

I have this terrible idea that 5 minutes into the Joe/Liger match is when they finally decided to do the gauntlet. There had been talk that Rhino would get the shot...but the gauntlet came out of nowhere. Someone in creative might have finally gotten to thinking about how Rhino goes from Monster's Ball to the title shot...and that cost Joe and Liger.

 

I'll say this...I liked the idea of the Gauntlet. I liked seeing Rhino and the others crawl to the ring for their shot...and seeing Rhino win the car wreck match, the Gauntlet and the title is a nice little story...

 

But that doesn't help me understand how the Diamonds in the Rough match didn't just get cut.

They should've shown a quick shot of the Diamonds fighting and say "Due to the problems between the Diamonds, they refuse to enter the ring", that's 7-8 minutes right there for the Gauntlet.

 

I guess it was panic mode that caused them cut the first match, one of the draws of the show short.

I don't get why TNA is bringing in even more X Division guys at this point. I mean, don't they have a big enough roster already?

 

I think TNA should focus on building up the guys they have right now. Sure, if a can't miss star comes along (like if Christian really is available), then go ahead, sign him up. But why are they bringing in more ROH type guys at this point?
