Sass Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 Chris Benoit. Instead of the WWE, maybe he'll cut that "big money" promo in TNA. Plus, even on his worst day, he's still a more cpativating in-ring wrestler than Chris Jericho on his best. No one can sell better than Chris Benoit in the WWE (even though he tends to brush it off like others do).
ISportsFan Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 Benoit's "charisma" has always been underrated. His promos are not amazing, but they're not awful either (except when he's scripted crappy comedy). He was fully capable the day after he won at Backlash 2004 to give a decent promo in Calgary. And, since he's the better wrestler, I'll take him. That's not to say that I wouldn't take Jericho in a heartbeat, though.
Rendclaw Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 Not everyone can cut a Rock or Ric Flair level promo at the drop of a hat. Benoit is passable on the mic, but where he does the majority of his talking is in the ring, and it always has been that was for him. While mic work is a factor in what makes a wrestler decent, good or even great, at times it is overstated.
Guest Samantha Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 I'd go with Jericho because he's well rounded. He's a good mat wrestler, he can fly and he's very very charismatic.
