OAO Smackdown Thread For 11/11/05

Well after reading there would be a triple threat match next week, that must have been their plan before Batista was injured, so my theories are - JBL gets put into the match and a new champ is crowned. Orton wins then sets up a match between Orton-Taker for the title at Survivor Series. Eddie Wins and things just move forward.

Fuck JBL and Orton. Let that worthless greenhorn (Orton) job to Matt Hardy which he should be doing. There is just no point jobbing Taker out to Orton again in another lame ass buried alive match with it's predictable match endings (;Taker never being able to actually win one). If anything Taker should return to cost Orton his big match at SurSe (which ever that will be) if they wan't to continue this dead feud. But they have to stop putting Orton over Taker. The fans aren't interested and Orton has nothing further to achieve in there eyes. He should just be a main event jobber.

But I'm all for Eddie's second run. But in all seriousness, if the belt really has to leave Batista's waste then he can not win it back ever again. I dont understand what any of you see in this joke but Batista sucks donkey balls as champion and here you people are already planing how he's going to ruin the next WM main event. The man just shouldn't be main eventing. Period. He should just lose the title, have a seriouse feud with "insert champion here" when he returns, lose then just dwindle in mediocrity for the rest of his short career. Same goes for Orton. Give up on these losers already.

And why the hell would you want the belt on John "I can't draw worth a fuck" Bradshaw Leyfield again?

Last night on the Canadian airing of Smackdown, there was no promo for the Triple Threat match. You have to assume that was a last minute addition to the show, and that it's their plan since Batista was hurt rather than being before he was hurt.

The main event angle was nuts, and the best thing they have done in ages. Masters' attack, JBL leading the SD guys after Raw, Big Show marching through the crowd, the SD crew getting killed by Kane and Show. Just really fun stuff.

Benoit/JBL was damn good, too, better than their June match. I LOVED the struggle for the German leading to Benoit hitting a freakin' belly-to-belly! The struggle for the sharpshooters, too. Loads of great little things, with JBL giving Benoit the diving shots to the back, then Benoit getting payback with the dropkick (leading to the sharpshooter). Nice match.

True, the end segmant did rule. It's nice to see Batista get pounced by a couple of real stars. Especially Kane who has been jobbing out to Tabista since that fake debuted.

I liked the Hardy/Orton confrontation to and it's leaving me to some pretty wild speculation for next weeks triple threat match. Namely Hardy costing Orton the match to either Eddy or Batista. They'll likely wan't to keep Batista long till SurSe where he can sell the injury to either Kane or Big Show pounding on him. Hopefully with the Hardy interference, Orton/Batista won't happen and Orton will just be used to push Matt Hardy. That would rule.

I now say this...

I would LOVE for Eddie Guerrero to be the third man EVER to hold BOTH the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship (of WWE) in his career.

The other two, of course, being the "Kliq Kings" Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

Umm...when are you counting from? I seem to remember Jericho being the first person in that list... at that point, they were still two separate belts, and weren't "merged" until HHH beat Jericho.

Jericho held the WCW World Title, not the World Heavweight Championship which didn't come into existence until 9 months after Jericho became Undisputed Champ. Same appearance, different title.

ACTUALLY... When Team WWF defeated Team Alliance in the 2001 Survivor Series ME, Vince came out and change the name of the WCW World Title, which was currently being held by The Rock, into the... World Heavyweight Championship.

Jericho then went on to beat The Rock (World Champion) and Steve Austin (WWE Champion) for the Undisputed Championship.

Yeah I was about to say that the World title on Smackdown actually is the WCW title. At least I think it is.

--After the Invasion was over and the Alliance thwarted Vince simply said The Rock's belt was no longer the WCW belt but instead the World Title. Same lineage, etc. Jericho later unified it with the WWF title in that 4 man tourney.

--Brock defects to Smackdown and thus ununifies the belts. He simply remains WWE champ on Smackdown while Bischoff keeps the World Title and names HHH his champ.

In other words Batista holds the WCW title, at least in my opinion. The whole setup just reeks of when WCW had both the WCW title and the Big Gold Belt and everyone was confused. Bear in mind they didn't even have a brand split, doubling the confusion.

Well, I think that Cena at this point holds the Undisputed Title (WWE and WCW) and the World Heavyweight Title is a completely seperate title, just using the old WCW belt (although it's actually a different belt, right?). WWE.com only has lineage going back to Triple H being awarded it.

Brock takes the Unified title to smackdown, Bischoff creates a new one and use an old belt. That's how I see it anyway.

I hate how both titles are used to elevate any wrestlers titlegraphies no matter how much history they had with the company.

Example:HHH.

It's just bullshit that his record claims 10 consecutive title runs. He's had 5 WWF/E title runs and 5 Heavyweight(WCW) title runs. Period. They should not be combined.

According to WWE.com's title history page, the World Heavyweight Championship's first champion was Triple H.

Thusly, they still count the The Rock and Chris Jericho reigns post Alliance as WCW Title reigns, which is a seperate title.

But the title that was given to HHH has nothing to do with the belt Brock took to Smackdown which has always been the real Undisputed title which HHH only won once and 4 other WWF title runs.

Basically, the WWE are trying to fool us into thinking that HHH is actually a 10 time World Heavyweight champion when all of his title runs are just being added togeather. Fucking cunts! This is what the comapny thinks of its fans.

So?

WCW did it with NWA too.

They did it with Sting.

They did it with Hogan.

They did it with Flair.

I don't mind that much, really.

I just ignore the HHH pushing as much as possible.
