Just John 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Very interesting lineup. HBK/Mysterio looks especially appealing.
Guest thecobra2 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Wow....are those matches actually going to be airing on RAW and Smackdown this week. That could almost be a card for Wrestlemania.
Quit Calling My Mama 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Add to the list: Cruiserweight Battle Royal Chris Benoit Vs Triple H
Just John 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Those two matches help the card that already has a couple matches that could hit *** with the participants just phoning it in (Angle/Shelton, HBK/Rey). Benoit and HHH have good chemistry, and cruiser battle royals are always fun. And the best part is that since it's a tribute show, none of the matches will be tainted with overbooking or sports entertainment BS.
RedJed 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 I will say this much, I am somewhat liberal on ratings, but Angle/Benjamin, HBK/Rey, Regal/Flair (albeit it was a short match), Chavo/JBL and HHH/Benoit are all tremendous TV matches (meaning over ***) from how I saw them live tonite. Well worth going out of your way to see these shows this week. This weeks shows are going to be significant in more ways than one, just because there was zero effort even botherering to promote the SS ppv at all. And there was no angles ran at all, etc. Just pure wrestling matches with some very emotional athletes who made a point to go out of their way to do the best they could given the circumstances. Guest Robot Bastard Report post Posted November 14, 2005 1) Why give "potential" star ratings, that's just silly? 2) No, it couldn't be a card for Mania
Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Wow, this looks like one stacked card. I can't wait to see the matches, and of course everything else that they do to remember Eddie. And why couldn't this be a card for a Wrestlemania? Think of it if not all of these were RAW vs. SD matches, and if everyone had time to prepare for the matches. Ken Kennedy vs. Val Venis (a fine Heat or open match) Big Show/Kane vs. MNM (an interesting match for tag straps) Angle vs Shelton (this could be the match of the night) HBK vs Mysterio (no tellin' how good this could be given time to think about) Divas Battle Royal (ya gotta put them on, transistional match) Simon Dean vs Eugene (a "fun" undercard match) Regal vs Flair (a match that could be more than solid) Cena vs Orton (perhaps the other match for a main title) Hardy vs Carlito (a decent undercard match) Cade/Murdoch vs LOD (a solid match for tag straps) Chavo vs JBL (have Chavo built up and it'd be fine) Cruiserweight Battle Royal (a very fun, possibly fantastic match) Chris Benoit Vs Triple H (main event for a title) *shrugs* I'd pay to see at least five of those matches. Fuzzy Dunlop 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Can somebody say exactly how alll of these matches are split? Like, which ones will be on RAW and which ones on SD?
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Everything up to and including Cena/Orton is on RAW. After that is on SD.
Slickster 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 The Kennedy/Venis match may end of being a WWE.com exclusive or something, since it was taped before the show really began.
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Question. They did the taping cause of the UK tour next week right? So does anyone knew what it's going to look like now? Hold off on the tour for awhile for Eddie's service, have a live RAW in the states next week, etc? Sorry if it's been brought up before

Hold off on the tour for awhile for Eddie's service, have a live RAW in the states next week, etc? Sorry if it's been brought up before <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just to clarify a few things regarding last night's show, the funeral is planned for Thursday, not Wednesday, in Scottsdale, AZ. The services will be private and the family has asked that the information as to location won't get out because they don't want it to turn into an overwhelming scene. WWE is not canceling any dates in Europe, however Chris Benoit, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Rey Mysterio and JBL will be off the tour until probably Friday. Batista won't be able to perform in any matches on the tour as well. I'm presuming Dean Malenko falls into the same boat. Because so much of the Smackdown brand star power would be depleted, they're going to juggle the Smackdown shows until they get back on tour with some Raw talent.
