If You Were A Wrestler, What Accomplishments

Recommended Posts

So yeah, if any of you were became a wrestler, what kind've accomplishments would you like to have under your belt.

I personally would like to have highly regarded match that would be possibly 5 stars.

I'd like to maybe win the Triple Crown title, IWGP title, WWE title and NWA title and in that order cause I figure WWE won't give you a hard time if you were a World Champ in Japan but would if you had an NWA title under your belt. And since apparently every midcarder out of WWE can win the NWA title, I'd be easier in the NWA if you head over as a former champ. At least I think so.

I'd like to say I was announced by Michael Buffer at a main event for a World title just cause that's always been so cool...as long as he gets your name right.

If I think of more later I'll post 'em.

What about you guys?

I'd like to retire while still alive and having full control over all motor functions.

That seems to be about as probable these days.

Pretty much my goals in the business...;)

As for goals during my time in the business...

- work a professional match abroad

- at least be in the running for match of the year for the promotion, every year.

- hold the NWF title.

- work a cage match

- end my carreer putting over whoever the next big main enventer would be.

And, finally

- see NWF booking Oslo Spektrum (Oslo's most used and second biggest concert arena) for a show, and sell it out.

That would be even more cool if you had a Hispanic name. He does great with those. If you've ever heard him on anything other than Nitro, you know what I'm talkin' about.

I do have a hispanic name, Mark-Anthony Delgado. :-)

1. Have HHH tell Vince that I cannot work.

2. Be held down from winning the top title.

3. Being forced to hold back in promos so that John Cena would appear to "outpromo" me.

4. Be forced to take steroids til my heart fails.

5. Be reduced to wrestling matches that people can only see on the internet.

6. Get fired for breaking a pot in the hotel lobby.

7. Win the NWA title from Jeff Jarrett in a match that required 50,000 people running in.

8. Lose said title two days later, also to Jeff Jarrett.

9. Have the WWE release a DVD burying me.

10. Be laughed at when it's revealed that I'm running for the school board.... either this or be laughed at for being found to have running a prostitution ring.

-Make a name for myself

-Win A World Title In Japan

-Help bring a wrestling based promotion to the mainstream level to sway the public's view of the sport even slightly.

-Win the company's World Championship.

-Retire being able to walk, workout, and put over the new guy even though by then I'll probably be protecting my spot for my return in two years.

After I pass away, I would like to have John Cena place his cheap title belt on a piece of my merchandise in the middle of the ring...except I would like the WWE symbol to be adjusted correctly and not sideways.

I would like to have a match that makes people remember why they're professional wrestling fans. I'd also like to have a Match of the Year candidate with Shelton Benjamin, I think it's criminal how toned-down WWE makes him work.

Call me crazy, but I wanna climb up the NWA ladder and own the major title in every mentionable NWA Affiliate and eventually be "NWA Triple Crown Winner" in TNA.

Oh, and have one ***** match.

I'd like to main event successful WrestleMania's, winning the title in the first one, and successfully defending it in the second one.

I would like to work a program with a youngster, beating him easily as our feud begins, but as the matches progress it gets harder and harder for me to put the youngster away. Near the middle of the feud, the youngster almost wins a few times, and then barely squeaks out a win. As the feud concludes, the wrestler would beat me faster and easier than the previous time. I would sell for him and make him look like a million dollars.

Speaking of a million dollars, I would like to make a million dollars out of the McMahons' money.

but other than that-

-be rated #1 on the pwi 500

- be considered a great worker

-win the IC and tag team titles

- win the royal rumble

- win the KOTR (if ever brought back)

- main event at wrestlemania

Given my size, a world title reign would be out of the question, however to make up for it, I'd like to have these accomplishments:

- Win the IC, Tag Team, and CW titles

- Having the TV Title being brought back so I can win it and have the record for longest reign

- Being the 2nd to last guy in a Royal Rumble

- Be on a televised show when they came back to my hometown and win the main event

- Be involved in a recycled version of Hart / Austin from WM 13 at a future WM except after a long struggle, I tap out in the end.

Why would you want to be 2nd to last and tap out?

Man, i'd like to win the title once, and never lose it, for like 8 straight years.

I'd like to be involved in a match/angle that captures so much of the audience emotionally that when I, as the face, am covered in my own blood during a Submission Match and am locked in a Boston Crab, they YELL at me to tap out. Tears running down their faces, security having to hold back some fans from jumping over the guardrail, and then me tapping out to save myself.

...and, of course, the deafening pop when I return a few weeks later from out of nowhere to beat the shit out of my arch-nemesis.

I figure if I become a wrestler and I'm involved in at LEAST one emotionally draining storyline/angle? I'm set.

You have a badass name.

Were I to be a wrestler, I'd want to main event a "major" PPV once (talking Mania, RR, SS, Series, or the TNA equivalents), and win the WWE/World Championship once. That's it (lofty enough, eh?). Anything else is bonus.

EDIT: And you know what? As much as I love the great workers, guys like Hart, Michaels, Benoit, et al, I wouldn't be concerned with that. As long as I wasn't embarassing, and I had a good time doing it. Like a Monty Brown type. Not great, but not offensive. I'd strive to improve myself, but if I was never considered an all-time great, so be it.

I've been in the wrestling business for about 3 years now and I have been fortunate enough to accomplish many things within that span:

- Hold a championship. (AWA Alaska Champion)

- Wrestle in front of hundreds of people (500 is the largest thus far)

- Be on the same card as a big name (Shared a "locker room" with Sabu)

- Be OVER

- Be promoted as the main event (I dropped the AK Title in a 30 Min. Iron Man in front of a crowd of 200 or so.)

As of now, my goals are as follows:

- Be able to wrestle as a full time occupation.

- Be booked for All Pro Wrestling (APW out of Hayward, CA).

- Participate in the ECWA Super 8 tournament.

- Be ranked in the PWI 500 (although it means nothing, it at least gets your name out.)

- Wrestle in Japan.

- Wrestle for Ring Of Honor

Congratulations. Actually, I passed a landmark I found hard to beat in my very first match, looking at the lights to end the second match from the top. Lying in a wrestling ring, watching a guy I've known for years go up top, and hearing 400 people get off their feet and scream, because they're about to see someone come off the top rope live and in person for the first time in their entire lives...

Only thing that beat it, was coming back after an eight months enforced hiatus as a special referee and receiving the most ungodly pop, thanks to a brilliant introduction by the original ref.

Good luck with the rest of your goals. Heck, maybe we'll meet in the ring sometime.

-Have the best match on a WM card

-Be held in high enough regard to eventually have a 3-disc DVD set released, despite never holding a title (singles or tag)

If I were a pro-wrestler, I'd want to:

- Be able to retire in good health without having gone through a divorce or neglecting my family. (Should be priority #1 for anyone).

- Have a least one multi-year run as part of a regular, notable tag team, even if it's just in the indys, and win at least one somewhat major tag title.

- Have at least one really violent, memorable, match. I'm not talking about some stupid TLC or electric barbed wire steel cage match. I just mean a good old fashioned Tully & Magnum style bloody brawl with a feud behind it.

- Win the NWA World Title, and defend it overseas at least once, preferably in Japan.

- Work at least one "shoot style" match, against someone like a Shelton Benjamin, or maybe a real shooter like Ken Shamrock or something. Maybe even in an octagon type ring. I'm not big into shoot wrestling, but I think it's cool when wrestlers can cross over and work that type of style (like Vader in UWFi).

- Retire as someone who was generally well respected and liked in the business, and known as someone who didn't injure or take liberties with opponents.

- Work a battle royal match as a heel, and win by cheating and being as cheap as possible the entire match. (Hiding outside the ring, sneaking up on guys from behind, clutching the bottom rope, etc).

- Wrestle under a mask at least once (maybe as part of a "mystery man" type angle or something).

See, nothing too lofty on their, other than the NWA World Title thing.

1. To have fun first and for most

2. To tour Japan at least once

3. To Hold the major title of my home promotion at least once

4. To wrestle Davey Richards at least once (he is from my home state of Washington)
