Wow, Vince is pulling out all the stops to make sure Angle isn't cheered at all against Cena. Fuck You, Vince. You're so out of touch with reality, it's amazing you got as far as you did. In fact, I'd say that Vince was always in the right place at the right time. I don't think he's responsible for any of the WWF/E's success. All of that goes to the performers (Hogan, Austin, Rock, Foley) and to a few guys who had to CONVINCE Vince to go with an edgier product in 1997. For anyone who's read HBK"s book will know that Vince is a stubborn, conservative, boring guy in real life who was always against blading and using tables or chairs in matches. Oh, and according to the Torch, Cena is scheduled to be the World Champ for most of 2006; so, he isn't losing the title any time soon.

Lying about how Vince McMahon was initially (and adamantly) against Nash powerbombing HBK through the table at Good Friends, Better Enemies, doesn't make sense. Guest JRE Report post Posted November 28, 2005 Anyone else think the commentary killed the main event? Not just the fact that 5 men were commentating- but that Tazz and Cole decided to be extremely whiney and unprofessional. It seems like Styles just stopped talking when he realized Tazz would cut him off and go on a rant about him whenever he chimed in. Even Coach came out looking good by trying to get them to chill out. At one point in the match Tazz decided to give commentating points to guys ("resetting") that have been commentating just as long as him (Coach) and guys with more experience (King and Styles). It was just distracting and not necessary. King would try a color commentating line, perfectly relevant to the match, and then Cole and Tazz would decide to berate him for the line being generic. So what? At least he was calling the match and not mumbling about brussel sprouts, Tazz. And Smackdown has the best referees, Cole? Really? What about the Booker/Benoit finish you were so upset about? Thankfully, the Raw guys didn't call out Cole and Tazz on all their mistakes and as a result...they came across as far more professional. So uh...Tazz and Cole...downgrade.

Guest tony manero Report post Posted November 28, 2005 For those whining about Lashley being eliminated first, take a look in the mirror. Your hard-on for muscle-bound, juiced up guys is a reason for why wrestlers continue to take roids and HgH. Personally, I'd like to believe that guys with inflated physiques are going to be made to look less than superior from now on, especially with the drug policy being instituted. Otherwise, Eddie's death will be in vain.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2005 I didn't expect Lashley to last a huge amount of time, but the first man out? They couldn't job out the useless Chris Masters or the even more worthless Carlito before him? I'd have at least had Lashley keep some credibility by fighting Show and Kane and being counted out or something. That Torch thing seems so insanely full of shit to me. There is no way they can possibly keep the belt on Cena for most of 2006, not at this rate. My God, the guy is getting jeered out of the building. The sad thing is the comment about "They want you to want HHH to beat Cena" is very true. Hell after the Angle/Cena match last night I said "You know, I'm so sick of Cena at this point I almost wish HHH would get the title back."
Guest JMA Report post Posted November 28, 2005 Shawn and Flair have been protrayed as the top faces the last 3 months anyways. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed, and that pisses me off a great deal. Sometimes I wish WWE would just get rid of the new Clique (HHH, HBK, Flair). Not to mention some other guys.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2005 The only real problem I have with Shawn and Flair as the top faces is that both guys are old and to some degree stale (Flair the older, Michaels the staler). Neither are really worth building the company around at this point, but when you take a look and see Cena being booed out of arenas, Angle on death watch, Orton being generally heatless, and guys like Carlito and Chris Masters being worthless...who else IS there right now? cameron chaos 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2005 Man, when was the last time Taker busted out an outfit that was entirely spandex? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haws By Gawd is correct, it's been what... 6 years? I think the main reason was Taker lost muscle due to knee and hip surgeries so his legs became thinner and out of proportion with the rest of his body. So it'd didn't look odd he chose jeans or loose leather pants for ring attire. Since about 2002 he's taken a greater interest in physical training again after he got into UFC due to Bradshaw and actually visited some MMA gyms (LVCC and Team Quest) for a bit of training. Apparently he got some tips from Randy Couture about maintaining muscle and flexibility as you get older so he's in much better shape than he was a few years ago, perhaps he just finally felt comfortable enough to go back to his old tights. Yeah, I was shocked the rookies were eliminated AFTER Kane and Big Show. That Torch thing seems so insanely full of shit to me. There is no way they can possibly keep the belt on Cena for most of 2006, not at this rate. My God, the guy is getting jeered out of the building. I'm more annoyed with Masters and Carlito lasting longer then some of the main talent. I'm glad I only caught the end of the PPV. What a load of shit! Fuck Vince and his egotistical douche baggery. Why do you people still give this asshole the dignity of money and ratings by watching his sorry product when you can give him the middle finger and just boycott wrestling. (Fuck TNA, how long have they been building they're shitty promotion now?). Vince does not care about the fans. If he did he wouldnt be shoving losers like Master, Carlito and Orton down our throats and he'd be learning from shit like rating decline and face pop decline(Cena). But no, Vince is so convinced that he can entertain the public with dogshit. Think about it, we have asked for so many things this year and none of them happened (Cena and Batista's stripping of the belt, Angle title run, no more Orton). The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2005 One, just because you put a title on a guy like Michaels doesn't mean you're building your entire company around him. There's nothing wrong with having a transitional champion until somebody who really deserves having a company built around them emerges. Second, the whole "this is our star of the future, let's put the title on him and build our company around him, touting him as being The Man for the next generation" thing doesn't work. Cena is bombing. Orton bombed. Lesnar was moderately successful, but he bolted. You shouldn't be putting titles on people to get them over. You put titles on people who already ARE over. You don't get guys over by making them champion. If anything, you put them in a deeper hole because people shit on those wrestlers, knowing full well they don't deserve a belt. Nobody catches on with fans because they are champion. They become champion because they've already caught on with fans.
