NFL Week Twelve

Recommended Posts

But there's no way you can come away from this game saying the Giants can't win on the road, because they can. First off, they did beat the Niners, whho ALMOST came back and beat the Seahaks last week. Irs not like the Giants got slaughtered. They arguably outplayed the Seahawks for most of the game.

Dude, it's obvious the Giants can hang with the best of the NFC at their home. They proved it today even though they lost. These other guys look at it as JUST a loss though. It's all black and white to them, no in between

Exactly. Giants can win, but until they actually do, the critics won't be silenced.

The critics wouldn't shut up even if they won - believe me, people would've found an excuse to hate on the Giants for today's game.

"They should've put them away earlier".

"I'm worried about them choking in the playoffs".

"Eli looked bad in the first half".

"The offensive line sucked dick".

I can't wait for a rematch, if it happens this January.

Lets do some math.

New York had 490 total yards

New York had 116 yards in penelties.

490-116=374 yards.

Somewhere in that equation that New York could have had a closer chance at a Field Goal or a Touchdown, but they didn't.

Also the three field goals:

First one from 40 yards out, he sailed it left of the post, considering he was on the left side of the field, he didn't accuartly aim properly.

Second one was from 54 yards out, and it was Feeley's longest attempt this year. I had a good feeling he wasn't going to make this one, and he left it up short.

The third came 45 yards out, and Feeley was more concerned about where to put the ball, and completly mis-hit the thing.

Besides, like everyone has stated before, there was tons of poor playcalling on the Giants behalf that they couldn't get done.

With all our arguing and some of us being so damn mad, that was an awesome game nonetheless and i'd love to see Act II in the playoffs

Dude, it's obvious the Giants can hang with the best of the NFC at their home.

Impressive.

So, which NFC team gets whipped by 30 by the Colts in February.

If they're ever gonna do it, it's now, with New England being a 9-7 looking team.

It's also time to change your avatar, Cannon.

Indy, tho, is still the team to beat in the AFC, hands down.

Fair enough. And thanks again for letting me hack it in July, before Halladay got hurt and the Jays went down faster than Jenne Jameson in the 36DD Titanic.

Pitts, Cincy and Denver? Worthy yes, and it won't be easy, but I'm still saying Indy is the team to beat in the AFC.

Anyone see the fan in Landover with Redskin contact lenses?

No problem, I thought the Jays had a chance before the Halladay injury.

NExt week is going to be the biggest game of the year for the Giants against Dallas for the division lead. If Dallas wins that game they would have a 2 game lead with 4 games left.

The only thing learned from today's Giants/Seahawks game is that the NFC is still weak and has no really "great" team, just a bunch of teams who put some wins together and can't control a game.

Who's great in the AFC besides Indy?

give me a break with Jacksonville, and Kansas City. You have to be kidding me.

What about Carolina, Chicago, Seattle, Dallas, New York and Atlanta?

Funny you mention Denver, because one of the teams you say isn't great beat them this year. yup, the Giants

I didn't say the Giants weren't great. I said as far as the critics are concerned, they can't win on the road, which is largely true as things stand now. I'm not the one advocating UTSU's stupid "NFC is weak! BLAH BLAH!" stuff. I simply responded to your AFC comment. Kansas City did kinda beat the piss out of the AFC East leader...

Obviously the AFC has stronger teams. I'd say Indy, Pittsburgh, and maaaaaaaaybe Cincinatti (they have to prove they can get a big win) are better than any NFC team. I'm not sold on KC, Denver, or Jax at all though

That's fine. They are considered one of the better AFC teams right now though. San Diego did cream the Giants so they gotta be considered.

Absolutely, I think San Diego is much better than their 7-4 record indicates. If they make it into the playoffs, everyone in the AFC better watch out.

52 yard FG attempt by the Jets to see if they can beat the Saints.

Let's see if blowing a high draft pick on a kicker will actually pay off...

SHORT by about 1 foot

Saints win... goddammit.

(I want them to get a Top 5 draft pick for sure... losing to the Jets would have ensured it.)

The Seahawks are at "Bears 2001" level bullshit in terms of getting miracle luck to win these games. I can assure everyone they'll get the shit kicked out of them by SOMEONE come playoff time.

By the way, how is it that Seattle gets nearly every solid team at home this year? Note the couple times they played anyone worth a shit on the road they lost.

Redbaron, let's face it....you predicting Pittsburgh is just wishful thinking, since the Seahawks might stand a chance. If the Colts played Seattle on a neutral site that game is a 45-20 rout.

Nope. (That was directed at Teke's post)

And beating the crap out of the AFC East leader isn't exactly something to brag about this year. If Bollinger passes for 300 next week, the Pats secondary might as well retire en masse.

Anybody else see Reggie Bush or Matt Leinart in a Jets Uniform next year?

Definitely Leinart...

Pennington is SO messed up that they really need to bring in a good QB, even as a backup if he's "healthy".
