I'm curious. I was having a convo with a couple people after smokin' on Friday.

 

A lot of people get goofy and generally make no sense. This girl I was smoking with, and I, both got very quiet. I tend to be pretty outgoing and confident in general, but when I smoke I start getting self-conscious, and worrying about people's perceptions of me and my future. This girl, who a lot of people think is pretty, strangely also gets self-conscious and gets nervous that a bunch of other girls are talking about her and stuff.

 

So basically, what's your demeanor and thought process?

 

I love to smoke, but for the past couple months or so it's been making me mad depressed when I'm stoned.

 

Also, is there any medical statement that might help explain a person's mood? I hear "Weed does things to different people."

 

Any advice? I'm not depressed or sad, just get very quiet and stuff when I smoke.

I used to be a stoner and smoking just made me a little stupid, and made me laugh alot.

 

I quit for a bit and now,

I also over think everything I do or say, and think of myself as an asshole, so I no longer enjoy pot, and rarely smoke it.

Paranoia is a side effect of pot, which is what you're describing. Focus on something else, or else get way more stoned.

Smoking pot tends to make me more anti-social, which is a bad thing, on account of the fact that I'm not a very social person to begin with. Outside of that, nothing major happens, at least nothing unexpected. I mean, I get paranoid and tend to laugh a lot, but just about everyone else does that, so not much point in mentioning it.

I've found that most of the negatives associated with smoking pot (munchies, paranoia, getting wicked tired afterwards, etc) happen more with shitty weed than with good stuff.

 

My personality is pretty much the same when I'm high. Just higher.

When I did smoke weed, I became very quiet and self-conscious too. Also for some weird reason when I smoked I would have some sort of weed hangover where my thought process would be all fucked up for a few days afterwards. I seemed out of it, even days after when I would talk to someone I would question everything I said, thinking it sounded stupid. Thats the main reason I don't do it anymore, it would make me feel out of it for days after the fact.

you guys are strange...when I smoked weed, I just became a lazy fucker...well lazier than the norm, anyway...I never got excited, got depressed, nervous, paranoid, felt I could take on the world, never got the munches, etc...I just relaxed and did whatever was going on at the time of the weed smoking: play a video game, go to the bar, chill wherever I was at, fuck a chick, etc.

Like Lushus, I just get really lazy when I smoke. It's the nice, relaxing type of laziness though. Unfortunately, I also seem to become brually honest. Last week, I told the girl I was smoking with -- nice girl, but not attracted to her whatsoever -- to stop staring at me and brushing her finger against my arm constantly because "it's really fucking annoying right now, okay?" Which, needless to say, didn't go over too well.

chicks get really testy when you turn them down for sex...me, if my wife says "not tonight", i just twist one off and call it a night...the flipside is if I tell HER "not tonight" it automatically means I don't find her attractive anymore and she thinks I'm fuckin someone else!

That's human nature. If a guy doesn't want to fuck... usually something is wrong. It's excusable once in a while, if you're tired, and such... but, not an often occurance, because men have to blow a load every so often, and that load best be inside/on us.

 

Plus, it offends women because looks are the only way women can gain control over men. Once that's gone, you have no reason to be with us.

I guess I do get lazy, too, but only when there's nothing else to do. It doesn't prevent me from doing anything, basically. If I'm just sitting around watching TV or a movie, I'm more content doing that while high. But if there's something to do, I'm still going to do it even though I'm lit up.

I was miserable after I would smoke a lot of chronic. Instead of it making me feel good, all I would see or think about were the negatives that I dealt with, which just made me feel more miserable. Smoking only helped me if I'd blaze right before I got ready to sleep. Ironically, doing shrooms is what would actually mellow me out and take my mind off "the bad stuff" while my friends would try to climb the walls like Spider-Man.

shrooms-a friend and I split a baggy's worth once...I was feelin fantastic at first, we drove to the mall and the drive felt like I was playing Cruisin USA or something...he was getting fitted for a suit and kept putting it off so we figured we'd swing by Von maur onthe way to the bar...outside of the tailoring area was a big leather chair, once I hit that thing, I was so damn relaxed I literally couldn't get up or move...later at the club, standing right by the dance floor, I felt like my feet were encased in concrete, I was just a little too relaxed!

When I was drunk, I'd want to fuck all the time. However, when I was high (or really fuckin high), I'd normally just want to be left alone and ponder my own crummy life. I really got more self-reflective than anything else when I'd hit the endo. My smoking pals thought I was smoking shitty ass swag...when in fact they were smoking the same shit as I was during our sessions. I don't know, I just felt like a big weirdo at times for not being able to enjoy Darkside of the Moon while being faded.
