Well, they'd know, wouldn't they? Illinois and Indiana have to be in the same region. Illinois is the midwest, thus, Indiana is as well. What you think of as the midwest is really the Column Of Suck. North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas. They all line up, they all blow.

I consider anything East of Chicago an Eastern region. If you include Indiana then why not Michigan and Ohio.

Pretty much every state besides Minnesota sucks. Like, Florida is okay, and Alaska seems cool, and that's about it.

I've always liked Minnesota if only for the reason that was the hometown of Ravishing Rick Rude. Arn Anderson too I believe. And it's cold and of course being Canadian I respect anyone who has to live through the cold.
