Super Mario Brothers: The Movie: The Game

ok, what's the deal with Akuma? I remember hearing about some code to play against him in one of the SF games that turned out to be fake, and then in later games he was actually in them, but that's all I know.

Personally I'm surprised a Metroid movie has never been made. Outer space sci fi, weird aliens, a female hero. Seems like the kind of thing Hollywood would trip over itself to make, especially now with what CGI allows. Imagine how Mother Brain would look on the big screen.

Alien and Aliens and I guess the other two movies

Ryu had a quote which said 'You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance,' which referred to the Rising Uppercut.

Then EGM pulled a prank where they posted screens, designs, etc., of Sheng Long as a character in the same style as Ryu and Ken, except more powerful, and the method to reach him. It was some difficult thing like not touching Bison during the fight with him until the time limit, or something like that, at which point Sheng Long would jump in, kill Bison and you would fight him.

Capcom decided to roll with it once the rumor caught on, introducing Akuma in Super SFII Turbo as a playable character using a code at the select screen and a secret boss who would jump in and kill Bison, provided you don't lose any of your fights up until that point.

"Fei Long wasn't in the movie. The reason is that the producers thought that he was too "generic." So he was replaced by Captain Sawada. The surname Sawada has since been attributed to Fei Long by fans, but this is strictly non-canonical, as the two are meant to be different characters."

First I've heard of this.
