Seems kind of graphic for an R rating what with

eyeball just hanging there and shit, I wonder if the screen goes black in the actual movie, or if it just goes to black on this clip to entice you to see the movie, either way I still say it seems extreme for an R rating these days, and would extremely dissapointed if this clip is not in the theatrical version

When was the last movie to get X or NC17 for violence?

House of 1000 Corpes and Devils Rejects were both headed for that until cuts were made. I am not saying they won't get an R rating for the theatrical release, but what I am saying is the clip I posted seems pretty graphic for an American R rating, so I am just hoping it isn't cut out.

I really can't wait for this one.

Wow, wasnt expecting that.

Looks like a great film, will probably be checking it out opening day - seems like this is going to be getting a really strong national release with all of the advertisements for it lately?

I'd be wicked surprised if the scene went to black in the theatrical version. And wicked disappointed, too.

Count me in for seeing this, pretty much as soon as it comes out. There was a pre-screening a month or so ago here in Boston, but I didn't know about it until after it had come & gone.

I just received an email from WWE.com saying that the trailer for Kane's flick, See No Evil, would be playing before Hostel in theaters.

Interesting.

EDIT:

Here is the image from the email:

Well, at least it's not called "Eye Scream Man" anymore.

Ho1KC was given the NC-17 rating before getting an R-Rating upon scenes being re-editted to remove the offending bits; TDR meanwhile was re-editted prior to submission to the MPAA specifically by Rob Zombie to get an R-Rating because the studio putting out the film put it in their contract that they would put out Rob's original unrated/directors cut of the film on DVD when the film hit DVD in exchange for Rob getting the film in theaters with an R-Rating.....

Not to stray too off topic, but why the fuck havent they ever released a House of 1,000 Corpses unrated/NC-17 version?

Didn't Rob say that cut was gone and all that was left was the version he released?

That would suck if that was the case. You'd think that cut has to be in some archives at Lions Gate though, or something.

Given the whole unrated/uncut phenomenon in DVDs the past few years, this would have been one of those films perfect for it.

That and supposedly the original cut is incompatable with TDR, since from what I've read the NC-17 cut of HO1KC has a completely different final act and supposedly has Captain Spalding turning out to be a good guy (and paying off the whole tension between him and the Firefly clan early in the film) and killing the guy who was in the car with him and the girl at the end of the film so as to protect her (rumor is, the NC-17 cut doesn't cut to the surviving girl waking up in Dr. Satan's clutches and instead has Spalding and the guy fighting and Spalding killing him in gruesome fashion and him then telling the girl when she wakes up that nothing happened, rather than upset her further).

That scene is in the movie. Or at least, it was when I saw it back in September.
