Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 Flutie just drop kicked an extra point. That was pretty nifty
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 Dick Vermeil ends his career on a pretty high note, crushing the Bengals. Uncharacteristically, he shed a few tears.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 Terrible roughing the passer call.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 Not really. He not only pushed him to the ground but also knocked him in the mouth. Doesn't matter though. Dolphins win, and I'm happy about that. I'd much rather have the Pats face the Jaguars as I feel Pittsburgh will take out Cinci since the Bengals can't stop the run.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 Should be an exciting year next season for Miami.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 At least the Patriots did not tie the game.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 Not really. He not only pushed him to the ground but also knocked him in the mouth Usually they call "blow to the head" in that case. Since the ref didn't, I'm assuming it was just the push. But anyway, it's moot since Miami won.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 Miami is still a pretty old team. I feel they're two drafts away from being a real threat once again. You have to figure that Ricky Williams, Sam Madison, Keith Traylor, Junior Seau, and possibly Zach Thomas may have all played their last games in Miami. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Dolphins turn it over to a young QB (Drew Stanton of Michigan State perhaps?)either which will retard their progress a bit as well. Slayer 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 Philly looking to put a damper on the Redskins playoff hopes..
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 The Skins are looking like they might dick away their playoff spot right now. They're down 17-7 to the Eagles right now. Speaking of the Eagles, here's a perfect example of why I can't get into early season NFL games. You never know which matchups are good. The one early season matchup that seemed to be significant was the Falcons/Eagles game, as it matched up the two teams that played in the NFC championship last year. Well, now it's the end of the year, and neither the Falcons nor the Eagles qualified for the playoffs. The NFL's such a crapshoot that until the playoff picture starts to take shape, you hardly even know what you're watching.

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 Come on Redskins, that was about the worst half of football they have played in 5 weeks, and they are only down by a TD, and they get possession at the 3rd Quarter. Someone wake me up from this nightmare.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 Yah...17-17....this SHOULD fire up a Defense that has looked kind of off today.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) Niners with a 40-yard INT return deep into Houston territory, followed by a Nedney FG for the win. Texans get the #1 draft pick. Edited January 2, 2006 by CanadianChris
Slayer 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 Playoff schedule is set Saturday Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 4:30 ET, ABC (3-6 game) Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots, 8 ET, ABC Sunday Carolina Panthers at New York Giants, 1 ET, FOX Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals, 4:30 ET, CBS (3-6 game)
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 Redskins go to Tampa: Well the last time they played it was a good game. Joey Galloway had an awesome day, but of course Sean Taylor was injured, and he is usually the guy to eliminate the deep passing game. It is really too early for a prediction because the Skins had a lot of injuries today but I am not sure if most are just day to day stuff or serious. I think the Skins can win this one if they win the turnover battle, and with a HEALTHY secondary, I think they will allow the LBs to terrorize Simms.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 Giants look bad, but hey I'm happy they won the East, since no one (even me) expected them to be even over 500 by much. I can imagaine the hard first place schedule next year and a return to last place but what the hell NFC EAST CHAMPS! WOOHOO!!!!!!!! Mike PS Im closing down my Internet this week so Ill see you guys whenever

iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 I actually kind of like the Skins against Tampa. They had a good run to finish the year, and you just know Simms will throw two or three picks in his first career playoff game.
Guest Smues Report post Posted January 2, 2006 Go Redskins, Panthers, Bengals, and Jacksonville. Anybody know what the draft order is now? I know Houstin is 1, New Orleans is 2, but what's the order for the billion 4-12 teams?
