Who else on the Seahawks offense (of the skill players, of course) do you think would be responsible for them being 13-2? Hasselbeck has played great this year, but that's because teams are scared as fuck of Shaun at this point. Offensive MVP: Carson Palmer. Without him, the Bengals offense dies. And they've become one of the NFL's elite... along with Palmer in the quarterback fraternity. Manning's still proved to be among the best, but Palmer is more valuable to the Bengals than Manning is to the Colts. Defensive MVP: Brian Urlacher. Leading tackler by far on the NFL's best defense since the 2000 Ravens and the `85 Bears. If Ray Lewis and Mike Singletary deserved it then, then Urlacher should receive his due here. Comeback Player Of The Year: Ricky Williams. Although Steve Smith deserves consideration with the leg injury, Ricky was completely out of football and barely exercising, aside from yoga and bong hits. Then he comes back and can still rush for almost 200 yards against a good NFL defense. That's pretty damn incredible. Coach Of The Year: Lovie Smith or Nick Saban. Statistically among the top 3 in almost every single important category (including TD catch dances, he's up there with Chad Johnson), and has more to do with his team's success than Harrison or Johnson. QB Of The Year: Tom Brady. Statistically the best in a season full of injuries, has singlehandedly led his team to victory numerous times, and has kept the Patriots alive with his arm. Strange that he's never won a regular season award- until now. RB Of The Year: Edgerrin James. Has more to do with Indy's success than Manning, which is crazy considering Manning is top 5 in almost every statistical category as well. Their physical style of play this year though, has come from James spearheading the offense. Offensive ROY: If he hadn't gotten injured, Samkon Gado could've run away with this award. For the short time he played, he did great, but Cadillac Williams has deserved this from Week One. Defensive ROY: Shawne Merriman, even though he started out kind of weak, he's definitely blossomed. Basically I don't like giving out double awards, and feel a lot of these guys are just as entitled to one award or the other. I believe they call it the "I'm going to the pro bowl" award. other than that, all he's getting is a big fat "I play for an average nfc team that's going to go one and out in the playoffs so I don't deserve an award" award. but he is an awesome player, but the Giants are just gonna get worse as they play more games with less of their starting linebackers.
