The trailer looked horrible. Also, I kept wanting to see Don Johnson. Nobody should have to suffer like that. He sucked as a singer, he sucked as Crockett, he's easily my least favorite G.I. Joe. Why, God, why?!!!!

I don't understand this post. You kept wanting to see Don Johnson and you hate him?

I loved the original show, but the only way they could have made me excited for this is if they cast Chad Johnson as Tubbs.

You think Chad Johnson has time in his busy football life to make a movie? And also Jamie Foxx >>>>>>>>>>> Chad Johnson. That's why Chad Johnson plays football and Jamie Foxx acts(Although Jamie Foxx was from what I heard a good quarterback in high school, which is problay why he played Willy Beamon in Any Given Sunday).

You got me. I didn't actually expect the Cincinatti Bengals' Wide Reveiver, CHad Johnson to play the role of Tubbs. Way to call my bluff, man.

Either way, there's been a lot of negative buzz around this movie, even with Michael Mann at the helm.

I think the negativity comes up from it being just another buddy cop flick...it really needed to be set in the 80s to get the real hardcore fans into it and to get the actual "Miami Vice feel"...of course, nowadays it'd be impossible to do that without also making it a comedy, which would totally suck.

I just can't picture Miami Vice being set in any other period than the 80's, its very much of its time, like Starsky and Hutch. Having said that I got the first season on DVD for Xmas and I have to say I think it still stands up very well as a show. If nothing else it was wonderfully shot.

I just hope they use the song "Heartbeat"
