Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 Link Pretty solid cast and Michael Mann is in charge of it. Think it will be a big summer hit or a flop like DoH was this past summer?
Crimson G 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 The trailer looked horrible. Also, I kept wanting to see Don Johnson. Nobody should have to suffer like that. He sucked as a singer, he sucked as Crockett, he's easily my least favorite G.I. Joe. Why, God, why?!!!!

He sucked as a singer, he sucked as Crockett, he's easily my least favorite G.I. Joe. Why, God, why?!!!! I don't understand this post. You kept wanting to see Don Johnson and you hate him? I loved the original show, but the only way they could have made me excited for this is if they cast Chad Johnson as Tubbs.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2006 The trailer looked horrible. Also, I kept wanting to see Don Johnson. Nobody should have to suffer like that. He sucked as a singer, he sucked as Crockett, he's easily my least favorite G.I. Joe. Why, God, why?!!!! I don't understand this post. You kept wanting to see Don Johnson and you hate him? I loved the original show, but the only way they could have made me excited for this is if they cast Chad Johnson as Tubbs. You think Chad Johnson has time in his busy football life to make a movie? And also Jamie Foxx >>>>>>>>>>> Chad Johnson. That's why Chad Johnson plays football and Jamie Foxx acts(Although Jamie Foxx was from what I heard a good quarterback in high school, which is problay why he played Willy Beamon in Any Given Sunday). Special K 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2006 You got me. I didn't actually expect the Cincinatti Bengals' Wide Reveiver, CHad Johnson to play the role of Tubbs. Way to call my bluff, man. Either way, there's been a lot of negative buzz around this movie, even with Michael Mann at the helm.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2006 I still have faith in Mann enough to poney up the dough to see it in theatres. That's assuming it gets an R rating.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2006 I think the negativity comes up from it being just another buddy cop flick...it really needed to be set in the 80s to get the real hardcore fans into it and to get the actual "Miami Vice feel"...of course, nowadays it'd be impossible to do that without also making it a comedy, which would totally suck. Zorin Industries 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2006 I can give you one good reason why this will suck, no Edward James Olmos (Though saying that I do like Ciaran Hines, so maybe its not all bad)
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2006 I agree, without Capt. Olmos, this is nothing!
Zorin Industries 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2006 I just can't picture Miami Vice being set in any other period than the 80's, its very much of its time, like Starsky and Hutch. Having said that I got the first season on DVD for Xmas and I have to say I think it still stands up very well as a show. If nothing else it was wonderfully shot. Zorin Industries 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2006 Nah, it's all about Philip Michael Thomas
lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 All I have to say if Phillip Michael Thomas and Don Johnson don't have cameos in this film, then I will probably fly down to Miami and be forced to have sex with big booty Latin women
Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 Yea, I agree with the trailor looking horrible. Collateral II is basically what it looked like.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 I stand by my belief they should have made a Barcadi and Cola movie instead.
