Guest Wrestling Icon Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 A few weeks ago we all seen Undertaker beat Randy Orton which was a hell of a classic but since then I can not see anythink for Undertaker but to get another crack at the wwe championship. I know he is 40 but I belive he should and will get his shot soon. I just want to see Undertaker with another run and see how he does as world champion. It could be real bad or really good. Undertaker vs Dave Basita is a match I would like to see.
HellSpawn Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 I would like another run with belt for the UT. 1st, OK, he is kinda mature, I dont want to call him OLD, but... he still is a great entertainer (spelling?) 2nd He cant be worst than Cena. I been off this board for several months, so, I dont know how much of love/hate has Cena here, and wel,,, dont care, after all, is MY opinion about him But I digress... I been watching most of Cena matches and stuff for all the 2005 and... man, he really sucks, he cant get a good match with any-f'n-one, Angle, Jericho, Michaels, etc., OK, he got ONE, eerr... kinda watchable mini match vs Benjamin last week, and THATS IT. And he is the WWE CHAMPION!!!! not just the major face in Raw, he is the freaking Champ!! Most of his matches are just he being punished for Evil Heel, and then, suddenly, without any vestig... eer... any sign of psychology, he hit his few moves and OMG he wins and keep the belt. Wooo! The Chain Gang is Happy!!! Damn, Hogan or Rocky had way much better matches. A couple of friends told me that Cena needs to be unleashed and becomes hardcore to show his greatness... I dont care, He is the WWE Champ and he has been on WWE rings for what?...at least 4 years. But... lets go back to UT I think it would be nice and, well, fresh for the WWE. No more Batista or HHH'pals for a while A whole new set of matches, like you said, batista vs UT, Benoit, Booker, Kennedy, Orton (again), Heiden...something , Lashley, and some from Raw like a bew feud vs HBK, Angle, HHH, Show, Kane, Snitsky, Cena (hopefully when he learn a few interesting moves), Flair. How about a *Giant Stable*, with Kane, Show, UT. They holding both HW Titles and Tag titles, not taking shit from anyone... Vince wants to control them and he is injured, Shane challenge UT and fights in a HiaC match on WM o Summer and gets totally killed until a new face or heel finally beat him on SurSer. I dunno... something new.
naiwf Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 The main reason Undertaker as champ would be awful is there'd be even less competition for him than there is for Batista since conceivably he'd have to beat him for the title and Batista's clearly "the top dog" on SD. I don't think token runs or nostalgia reigns are worth much and if so, he already had his when he was the Undisputed Champ.
Guest cacheton Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Terrible idea. At least Batista and Cena don't conspire to hold talent down. While HHH and Jarrett do, at least they don't squash their enemies and job them to their wife.
Si82 Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Bad move, very bad move. There is no reason for Undertaker to have another WWE title run. Hell, I don't think there is a reason for Undertaker to be around at all. We all got to see last month that he didn't put over Randy Orton so it's doubtful he's going to be putting other talent over. I just don't think he serves a purpose anymore. Get rid of him I say.
Guest Rrrsh Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 He will draw worse than the guy currently and has no long term upside. Course not.
edotherocket Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Gotta agree with the people saying he shouldn't be champ. He's fine doing the nostalgia routine being Zombie Undertaker. But they literally only have one story for the guy. He gets killed, returns and scares the crap out of the heel, then goes away for a few months. You can't do this when the guy has to headline a PPV every month.
PLAGIARISM! Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 No chance. Michaels has earned one last title run but not Taker. I think he's actually OK as a part-time performer, he works harder than when he was fat as fuck four/five years ago but I think even he realises his days at that level are behind him.
Guest Coffey Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 A few weeks ago we all seen Undertaker beat Randy Orton which was a hell of a classic...
cabbageboy Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 I might consider giving him that one last title run at WM this year. Mainly just to keep his streak intact and also to end Batista's year long run with the belt. After that they can have a rematch where Batista wins it back, or maybe insert Orton back into the picture.
Black Lushus Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Undertaker should never hold the world title again unless he's REALLY going to put the next guy over and then retire for good...which won't happen...so, basically, the Undertaker should never hold the title again.
Guest Leelee Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 There's no point in making Taker the champ. Even though Batista is booked strongly, most think that Taker is the actual strongest person on the SD side. It's just that Taker is a part-time wrestler... and is usually involved in silly feuds with hosses. While this situation would normally be optimal for Taker putting over Batista in a "dream" matchup... how much rub do you give Batista? He beat HHH 3 times, clean. He's been an unstoppable monster for a year. Then, he ends Taker's streak? That's giving way too much to a guy like Batista who isn't going to be a future superstar for you, and never had the qualities to deserve the push he's gotten already.
MikeJordan23 Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Yes, if he puts someone else (A YOUNG someone else) over at the end of the run.
cabbageboy Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Who exactly is there that qualifies? He's already made Orton look like such a jobber that if Orton now beats him it's going to be "eh, whatever." I think we're all sick of that feud anyway. Quite honestly, is there anyone for UT to really put over?
Black Lushus Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 Who exactly is there that qualifies? He's already made Orton look like such a jobber that if Orton now beats him it's going to be "eh, whatever." I think we're all sick of that feud anyway. Quite honestly, is there anyone for UT to really put over? if the WWE is serious about them, Ken Kennedy or Bobby Lashley...now don't mistake what I said, I'm not the one wanting these guys on top, but it's apparent the WWE sees potential in Lashley and Kennedy (prior to his injury)...as it currently stands, those are the only two, right now, that have the most to gain from beating UT...it really should have been Orton getting the rub, but that's all but history.
The Niggardly King Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 The problem with having Taker put over someone like a Kennedy or Lashley... is that no one is going to buy it. They might even shit all over the other guy if it does happen. Batista would be a good choice because the fans already buy into him, he is the #1 face in WWE right now. While Batista and Taker would have their feud, I would take that time to try and build up Orton again... though I'm afraid they might have fucked him over now.
Black Lushus Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 they'd buy it if it's built up properly.
The Niggardly King Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 Yeah, but Kennedy hasn't really done anything but gotten cheap wins against Booker T and Mysterio. All Lashley has done is squash jobbers.
Black Lushus Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 (edited) they'd almost have to repeat the whole deal with Orton, except, you know, this time UT loses...it really is a shame because Orton's whole Legend Killer gimmick would have seen its ultimate climax by beating the UT...
