So, yeah. I still feel like I'm forgetting someone, and not Jerry Porter, because he's on the fringe.

Jimmy Smith? Some people would put him somewhere... not me.

Terrell Owens IS a top 5 WR, but he is not worth the risk anymore IMO. He is over 30, missed almost a year of football and is a notorious locker room cancer.

Thank you! I agree with you on what you said there, BUT I doubt he's a top 5 WR anymore.

Well as things stand, he is. However if he goes to Dallas (well he is going there) and has the season I'm expecting him to, then he's going to fall out of the top 5, even the top 10 next offseason.

Sorry I do not buy Santana Moss yet. Try again next year if he puts on the same numbers.

Look at his 2 years with the Jets after Coles left, he was pretty much the only recieving talent for Pennington. Santana is for real.

Ok sure I will.

2003: 16 Games/12 starts he had 74 catches for 1105 yards, 10 TDs

2004: 15 games/14 starts he had 45 catches for 838 yards, 5 TDs

Doesn't sound like someone I'd buy just yet.

He had a great 2003 season, 10 TD's and over 1105 yards is pretty damn good to me. In 2004, the Jets didn't rely on Moss as much and decided to use there rushing attack alot more, is his stats went down, but he averaged 18.6 per catch and thats a damn good stat.

Just ask Jets fans and they will tell you how much they miss Moss.

Even as a Jacksonville fan, no. Still want them to retire his number when he goes out to pasture.

Dude, get the fuck off Moss's nutsack. Seriously.

I'm only giving the man credit where credit is due. He is an amazing WR, espically for his size(He's only 5'10 for fuck sakes).

As an Eagles fan, I want nothing more than to see him and the Redskins fail, but I got to give my unbias opinion. He's very underrated.

Infact right now I have a hard time placing Terrell in my Top 5 WR's going into this season. Despite you guys may think, TO is human, infact go watch the 1st Monday Night game of last year when DeAngelo Hall competely shut him down, and when he made very bad dropped balls.

On what fucking planet can a guy get 7 catches for 112 yards and be "completely shut down" ?

Owens raped Hall up and down the field all night, and if not for a few bad throws from McNabb, he would have had a couple of TD's to go along with those stats.

If that's considered shut down, then Owens would be the best receiver in the league, considering those are great numbers. Correct?

He's underrated in terms of where he stands among today's WRs, but the way you put it, he's Jerry Rice+Steve Largent+John Stallworth+Art Monk all rolled up in this one super WR. He has only had 1 "good" season and one "great" season... in 5-6 years he's been around. You'd have to be real dumb to not see why some people might have some reservations about him. Yeah, I'd say so.

If you told Santana Moss he was going to get "shut down" by getting 112 yards, I'm sure he wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

Did you guys watch the game? Yes he got his catches, but most of the time Hall had him smoothered, and knocked down balls. McNabb did throw some bad balls because he was playing with bruised ribs, but TO dropped a very catchable ball in the clutch time that they needed to win the game. And Hall just OWNED Owens in the Redzone.

TO did not look like TO in that game.

I'm not saying he's an all time great WR, I'm saying he's one of the best playing right now. No need for childish insults.

I saw the game but it is nothing like you're describing it.

Hall made one or two good plays, while T.O. just totally abused him the rest of the time. And yes T.O. did drop that pass, but it had nothing to do with Hall. T.O. generally got whatever he wanted on Hall, there were just some poorly thrown balls that Hall was able to take advantage of.

No love for Darrell Jackson, which I sort of understand. He makes both incredibly awesome and incredible boneheaded plays.

If Owens is motivated and healthy, sure he's a better player than (Santana) Moss. He has some of the quickest moves on the field, still. I'd still rather have Moss on my team. He's five years younger, and not a headache. They're both injury risks, so that's a wash.

Here would be my list of WRs. Basically this is my list of how well I think they'll do next year.

1) Randy Moss (if healthy)

2) Steve Smith

3) Chad Johnson (incredible player, but it helps he has one of the best QBs throwing to him)

4) T.O.

5) Marvin Harrison (sort of hard to rate, how good would he be without Peyton?)

6) Santana Moss. Speed to burn

7) Antonio Gates. May seem high, but the guy is fucking red zone MONEY.

8) Anquan Boldin. Makes lots of tough plays, keeps that ball moving down the field. Incredible receiver in tight spots. Fantastic hands

9) Hines Ward.

10) ...And as per usual I forget Torry Holt. Most underappreciated receiver in the NFL. Move him up to number 6 and bump everyone else down.

Considering I just watched the game last week on the NFL Networks "Game of the week", it's fresh in my head. Hall did dominate TO for most of the game, espically in the redzone where Terrell couldn't do a thing. Most of it did had to do with McNabb playing with bruised ribs, but TO was overall bad, despite what the stat sheet says.

Considering you watched the game through the eyes of someone with a clear agenda against T.O., I don't care.

There is no possible way you can go 7-112 and be "overall bad" or "completely shutdown". ESPECIALLY considering T.O. and Hall were one-on-one pretty much the entire game.

The pot calling the kettle black. You seem to have Owens nutsack in your mouth, so in reality your opinion is biased as well.

Go re-watch the game, espically in the redzone and tell me Hall didn't own TO. Hell even watching the game at the time, when I wanted TO to do good, I still thought Hall got to him. But whatever, debating this is useless. Have fun with TO in Dallas, just don't be complaining when he turns your team into a complete circus.

Well, I sure hope he gets shut down for 100 yards every game next season.

He can get his 100 yards, aslong as he dont get the main thing that matters "Touchdowns".

With Boldin vs. Fitzgerald, it's sort of a judgment call. Fitz gets some incredible TD's out of nowhere, so he's probably a little better for the Cards, since he and Rackers are the only one who score.

However, if you've got Boldin and a running game, you're going to be moving those chains like nuts.

No doubt! I'm a Seattle fan but I can't help but root for the Cards. I might have to stop if they become a threat. They're great fun to watch, though.

Fuck. Not that it was unexpected, but the Vikes got Hutchinson from the Seahawks. And they pulled some sneaky shit, too. Still, sort of the Seahawks fault for not franchising him.

Well, the Vikes could be pretty good next season. It's crazy how much money they're spending on Hutchinson, though.

Hopefully the Seahawks put some of that extra money to good use.

They apparently did by signing peterson to ridiculous money (7yrs/$54mil with 18.5 guaranteed) are the figures I saw. Don't know how official it is or anything, but that would be nuts.

Craig nall signed with Buffolo which gives Aaron Rodgers no competition if Favre retires

Is there a rule that Favre always has to be close friends with his backups? Ty Detmer, Hasselback, Pedersen, Nall. I guess Steve Bono wasn’t a fave, but…was he even on the team? I think Favre even got along with Aaron Brooks, which is really saying something.

I suspect Favre was trying to buy these guys off with affection so they wouldn’t steal his throne—not that any were going to come close, anyway, but Favre was that insecure. They were all human emergency stop buttons, the kind you push frantically and to no avail after the elevator cable’s snapped. Then Aaron Rodgers comes in as the heir apparent, and Favre leans out of the grocery cart and starts pulling down all the cereal boxes.

Tom Silverstein thinks the Nall defection signals BF’s return, since Nall (who went hunting with Favre recently) wouldn’t want to return to a situation where he was #3 again, and that he must have gotten some insight from Favre on the trip.

Profootballtalk.com disagrees, arguing that Nall and Favre are so tight that Nall has less incentive to return if BF isn’t coming back, too.

The latter line is so patently absurd that one would get upset about it, had it not been on Profootballtalk.com, which has lately given itself over to speculation sourced purely out of its creators’ trap doors, based on amateur psychologizing that would embarrass Lucy of Peanuts.

Nall wants to compete for a starting job, and he felt unfairly demoted to #3 after the drafting of Rodgers. Anybody following the team situation even a little understands that. Guys, it’s great that Dan Patrick likes you, but you’re losing beaucoup cred with shit like this.

But Silverstein has nothing to go on, either. (Maybe he’s been reading Christl’s chats.) And both sides perpetuate the fallacy that the GBP world rotates around the sun of Favre. Sometimes, a third-string QB is just a third-string QB. They grab a clipboard and hold it with both hands while also somehow keeping a visor upon their heads and looking concerned. Even TT can find another one of those

Why not just be happy that you have both Boldin and Fitz? (To the Cards fans)

Because with Boldin, and Fitz, and Edge... we'll probably still find a way to go 4-12.

Because they are banking on the 1999 Kurt Warner to appear for the Cards and lead them to glory when everyone and their mothers knows that's not going to be the case. Also they have done nothing yet to fix their O-line or D-line. So if they go 4-12, it won't be because of Boldin and Fitz and maybe Edge, it'd be IN SPITE of them.
