Guest Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Hardly anyone will trade their 1st round draft pick for a player already in the league. Oakland only did it because, well, they're Oakland.
2GOLD Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 I think Lewis wants out for the same reason most of the Ravens defense wants out. Kyle Boller. They have waited two years for him to become something anything close to a quarterback.
SpikeFayeJettEdBebop Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Boller is....I don't even know how to express it. He shows signs of being able to start and "manage" or maybe even "carry" the team(very brief signs) then other times he is absolutley terrible(for instance, all the times where he'll just fumble the ball without getting hit, those are never good, at all).
Prime Time Andrew Doyle Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 Lewis would be out of his mind going o Miami. After not liking being in the 3-4 in Baltimore, saying he had to fight off guards, wouldn't he be in the same position as Miami wants to play a 3-4?
Brett Favre Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 It looks like the Jets will cut Pennington, Mawae, and Law. They are also probably going to pick Cutler at number 4.
Guest Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 I like Cutler, but they could probably trade down and get him. It's a good pick.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 I think they are either going to trade down or take Fergueson.
Vampiro69 Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Well the Cardinals resigned Kurt Warner to a 3-year deal. If they could get a running game the Cards would actually be dangerous.
Brett Favre Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 The Cardinals should take LenDale White, or DeAngelo Williams. Either one should be available.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 The Cardinals should take LenDale White, or DeAngelo Williams. Either one should be available. Fuck that, Arizona should go after Edgerrin James, or make a trade for Jamal Lewis. They already wasted a pick on a rookie running back last year(JJ Arrington). They should draft Winston Justice from USC.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 It looks like the Jets will cut Pennington, Mawae, and Law. They are also probably going to pick Cutler at number 4. Apparently the Jets are indeed trying to renegotiate their contract with Pennington, and that's the best thing they could do... however, word is that Drew Brees is also scheduled to become a free agent unless San Diego can put together an 11th hour contract extension by next Thursday for Brees... in which case, the Chargers would probably be fucked unless Philip Rivers proves to be a stud. Interesting question as to where the fuck Brees would go though, and that would be interesting if he ended up with the Jets as THEIR "insurance policy"... And I personally don't think Jay Cutler is worth anything more than a 2nd round pick at MOST. Anyone who takes him in the first round and expects him to start or play anytime soon is going to be extremely disappointed. Not to take anything away from his ability, because I definitely think he has potential, but he needs time to develop. Ideally, he'd fit in great on a Green Bay Packers team with Brett Favre playing his last year. Cutler and Favre have a pretty similar style.
Guest Princess Leena Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 No. The Cards need to help their defense first.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 So is Culter going to be Aaron Rodgers 2006?
Guest Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 No. He's better than that. Alex Smith wouldn't go in the 1st round this year.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 No. The Cards need to help their defense first. They were ranked 8th in total defense this year. They were ranked last place in rushing. I wonder what they need to improve on 1st, dumbass. Stick to watching tennis.

Guest Princess Leena Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Or, you could try watching all their games. Their running stats are low because the Cards rarely try running the ball. Mainly because the OL was plagued with injuries, and had total scrubs at guard and RT, all year. Plus, I don't think it's wise to give up on Arrington yet. If they could get LenDale White... he'd be a good compliment to him. But, that's probably not happening. The Cards are supposedly looking at DL. They really do need some run stoppers.

Which makes more sense in them drafting a Offense Lineman(Winston Justice) genius, and getting a vetern runningback. And I may not watch alot of Arizona games(I watch them when the Eagles don't play the same time as them), but I've watched Dennis Green for many years. And he will work on the offense much more then he will on defense. They already have a solid D, what they need to is to get a rushing attack to keep alot of pressure of Kurt Warner.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Denny Green chose a CB first in last year's draft. He will draft a defensive player if he thought it was necessary. And DL > HB in necessity.
Vampiro69 Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 The Cards should take a RB with their first pick. Who ever said that the defense was not that good is wrong. I watched their games on TV and other then Shaun Alexander going nuts, the defense played pretty good. Give Kurt a running game and the Cards would be dangerous.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 And they could give Kurt the running game in free agency. Who is worth the #10 overall pick? Reggie Bush will be gone by then. And I rate him as the only top 10 HB on the board.
Guest Princess Leena Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 With the Cards history, and Denny Green seemingly focusing on the RB position as more of a role position... I see them just picking up a veteran back. I'm worried they might settle for one of GB's backs.
Kahran Ramsus Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Didn't see this posted. Dolphins' Williams tests positive for drug use BY JASON COLE Dolphins running back Ricky Williams faces at least a one-year suspension from the NFL after testing positive for drug use a fourth time under the league's substance abuse policy. Two sources confirmed a report by WSVN-TV that Williams had failed the test, although neither would say the substance Williams used. On three previous occasions, Williams had tested positive for using marijuana. Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene declined to comment Sunday night. ''Because of the confidential nature of the league's substance abuse policy, we can't comment on any aspect of that program,'' Greene said. Williams returned to the NFL this season after retiring for the 2004 season. He missed the first four games of the season and was fined an additional four weeks of salary from the second and third violations of the substance abuse program. Those positive tests had occurred in December 2003 and in the 2004 offseason. Williams returned to have a productive season. Williams has spent much of the offseason in Northern California studying yoga and holistic medicine. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/...iamiherald_news Miami never should have brought him back.

Reggie Bush will be gone by then. And I rate him as the only top 10 HB on the board. Their D-Line is solid(they were ranked 12th in passing offense) and is not the postion they need the most improvement on. Part of the reason why they failed on the rushing attack and lost most of their games was because their o-line collasped and forced alot of pressure on McNown and Warner and they rushing attack as a whole. Dennis Green may have drafted and defensive player last year(Because the secondary needed the most help last year) but this year he will go with either a RB or OL, but he should go with a OL.

Guest Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 That fucks up a lot of things Miami could have done in the offseason.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 But it does make them look a hell of a lot smarter for keeping Ronnie Brown around.
Fökai Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 The Miami Herald, citing two sources of its own, confirmed the station's report that Williams has violated the policy, although neither source would say whether Williams had failed a drug test or if he had missed a required test, which also is a violation. I would guess that Ricky is more of the lazy type than the stupid type.
