Why should rvd get a main event push?

I think "Cut off at the knees", "had his legs cut out from under him" and any other variation has to be the most overused phrase at this forum. Ever since Keith said it in regards to Jericho and Benoit I see this fucking thing in every other post.

That is exactly what I've been saying all long.  But try to  explain that to these crazed RVD marks, that think that would be holding him back.  They willl not be satisfied until RVD has the World Title, and cleanly goes over everytop superstar in the company, with in a few weeks.

A lot of people point to January 7, 2002 as the D-day for RVD because they feel HHH de-pushed him. Well thank Vince for allowing it. Vince was and is still involved with the company. Plus RVD is not an original WWE guy. It is very hard for Vince to push something he did not discover or can take any credit for. Not sayin RVD's time won' eventually happen, but it may take Vince a while to get over himself and realize he is the only show out there and push what fans want.

I'll tell you what will REALLY be D-Day for RVD, Booker, etc.

 

The day GOLDBERG comes in the federation. Vince is so keen on him it isn't even funny.  And, if he happens to bite the bullet and bring in Scott Steiner, I promise one of those guys will be fed to them to help get THEM over.  Rock is gone, he has a spot open. Hell, there are a few spots open, but Vince is looking to fill them with Steiner and Goldberg.

January 7, 2002 is undeniably the day that RVD's feud with Jericho ended when he curtain jerked against Test.

 

And on that same day HHH returned and got an immediate push to the title...which in retrospect...worked out even worse than I could have imagined.

 

 

And on the IC title thing.  A long IC title reign is exactly what I was clamoring for after WrestleMania...but instead they took the belt off of him after a month and then decided to do that false switch with Taker.

 

Thats why he cant go back...(well obviously he can go back...but still) this is the 3rd time in less than a year they put him in the main event scene (or at least 2 of those times he had the champion beat) and then he went down a notch.  

 

And that IS THE DEFINITION of cutting someone off at the knees.
