TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Well it's Saturday, so I figured I'd start the non-spoiler TNA discussion. Here's the preview for tonight's show, per TNA's site: SATURDAY NIGHT ON “iMPACT!” – 11PM ON SPIKETV The road to the January 15 “Final Resolution” Pay-Per-View continues Saturday night on “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV, with new matches to be announced for the three-hour mega event and so much more. A TRIBUTE TO STING FROM TNA WRESTLING This Saturday night, TNA Wrestling will celebrate the addition of wrestling icon Sting to the roster! As the world prepares for his in-ring wrestling return at the Pay-Per-View teaming with Christian Cage to face Jeff Jarrett and The Alpha Male, tune into “iMPACT!” for a special tribute to the career of the multi-time World Heavyweight Champion! The question is, what will “The King of the Mountain” and his army think about TNA’s celebration? Tune in and find out! RON “THE TRUTH” KILLINGS vs. TEAM CANADA ENFORCER BOBBY ROODE Following the recent implosion of the 4Live Kru thanks to Konnan’s actions, Ron “The Truth” Killings is now a man on his own in TNA Wrestling. With his return to singles action, this Saturday night he’ll get a tough test in Team Canada enforcer Bobby Roode! Two of TNA’s most athletic stars will clash on SpikeTV, and with the recent wars between the former 4LK and Team Canada, the hatred between Killings and Roode looks to re-ignite on “iMPACT!” TEAM 3D IN ACTION THIS SATURDAY NIGHT Focused on getting a shot at the NWA World Tag Team Titles still held by America’s Most Wanted, Team 3D will be in action on Saturday night on SpikeTV! The question is, will Brother Ray and Brother Devon get their wish for a title match at the “Final Resolution” Pay-Per-View? Tune in and find out! THE NATURALS vs. APOLO AND TNA NEWCOMER HOMICIDE Saturday night on “iMPACT!” will also feature the in-ring tag team debut of Apolo and Homicide – the new “family” of Konnan – as they face former NWA World Tag Team Champions The Naturals! Will Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas ruin the debut of Konnan’s henchmen, or will the new trio of Konnan, Apolo and Homicide unleash chaos in TNA? Plus, will former 4LK members BG and Kip James be watching? All this and much more on Saturday night on “iMPACT!” as the road to the January 15 “Final Resolution” Pay-Per-View continues! Plus, appearances by other TNA stars including “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels, Abyss, Rhino, Chris Sabin and many more! I'm not sure if I'll love it or hate it, but I'm definitely eager to see this Sting segment....the crowd reactions should make that worth watching alone, if the arena reports are to be believed. Otherwise, it's good to see the Naturals in a prominent match-up on Impact, but I'm sure they're jobbing there. Gotta establish the heels, who'll probably be facing the James Gang on PPV, while the Nats will probably be on the pre-show. I dunno why, but Killings and Roode excites me. I love Killings and like Roode, so hopefully they'll have a good match-up. Hopefully Truth gets to cut his break-out promo soon...there might not be room for him in the main event now, but he clearly deserves a shot to get himself back over enough to be there. Anyway...discuss your thoughts on Impact, before, during and after it airs, right here.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 I've yet to read the spoilers, so I'm looking forward to Homicide destroying The Naturals. On a similar note, it's pretty depressing that The Naturals have once again been sent down to JTTS status.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Its sad that the Naturals are not chasing the tag team belts but there is only so many times I can watch Naturals vs AMW.
Silence 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 Its sad that the Naturals are not chasing the tag team belts but there is only so many times I can watch Naturals vs AMW. There's only so many times that AMW can be the Tag Team Champions every year, too.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 AMW needs to drop the belts to Team 3D.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 8, 2006 I have my VCR set to record iMPACT! tonight. I plan on going to bed early and I'll watch the tape when I get up. Hopefully this thread will have more activity than the last couple of weeks so that I'll have something to read after watching the show.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 (edited) Music video is the best way to do recaps. I looks like Brother Ray stole Mick Foley's flannel. Edited January 8, 2006 by razazteca
strummer 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 Man, I Haven't been watching much TNA lately but D-Von looks juiced to the max. Damn.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 Damn...if Team 3D DOES win the NWA Belts...it really will be somewhat historic.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 Good call on DVon, I dont remember him being that big, just slim, trim, buff, cut, ripped, chiseled up and jacked And someone was also right about a landmark win for 3D. Holding the tag titles for for major feds, that unprecedented. Anyone catch that Morphoplex commercial? What theme song was that? I recognise it as an old WWF theme. CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 I'm blatantly biased because I watched him wrestle in a indy fed my buddy owned for 3 years, but Showtime Eric Young rocks.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 The chuckles from that Jarrett line about not drinking made me laugh.

Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 Even with Kip putting his hand in front of his face that bump into the ringpost had to hurt. And Homcide doesn't get a single real move in. Fuck.

Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 TNA using Sting all those years ago really worked to their advantage. They actually have clips to use of Sting. Awesome to see the X Division guys getting a gimmick of some sort. It was idiotic, though, for them to go through that entire segment without someone saying the three guys' names. Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 I would be pretty nifty if they could work it so that we get a Shelley Cam angle. Awesome match.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 I would be pretty nifty if they could work it so that we get a Shelley Cam angle. Awesome match. Anyone notice that the camera's LCD screen was solid blue when they went outside the ring? Fantastic match, lots of cool moves and a good pace. Aries, Strong and Shelly? I was sure they'd be squashed.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 This show hasn't been as good as most, but that 6 man X Division tag was fucking awesome.
