I don't know if you'll be able to. With numbers like that it might have only been out two and a half hours. The only hope Boll has is the movie was in focus.
fazzle Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Actually, that $450,000 is just the Friday estimate. Still pathetic, just not as pathetic as it originally seemed. Bloodrayne made $1.2 million for the weekend, which is about 4.5 million behind HOTD's opening weekend, and 1.5 million behind AITD.

I must go see this now. I don't know if you'll be able to. With numbers like that it might have only been out two and a half hours. The only hope Boll has is the movie was in focus. Bloodrayne will actually wind up doing decently for Boll. It's definitely the kind of movie that will do better overseas, and the DVD sales will help as well. Boll did a really good interview with some site a week ago where he pretty much said that Dungeon Seige (which has some ridiculous $50 million budget or something) needs to do well or else he'll be in trouble.

Youth N Asia Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Hostel just doesn't look like a #1 movie, I'm a little suprised by that one. I haven't seen a single ad for Bloodrayne. Even with Sandler's name on it, Grandma's Boy was the most obvious bomb for a movie I've seen in a long long time. The sidekicks from Little Nicky aren't meant to carry a movie...plus it didn't look funny.

I thought it was one when I first saw it. Even Sci-Fi original movies have better ads than the one they threw together for Bloodrayne. It ended up looking like Red Sonja: The Series

Seriously. That's exactly what I think every time the ads run for it on TV. The production quality on the trailer is so cheap! I never realize it until they name drop Ben Kingsley.
